"Why did you lie to me, Melanie?" asked Forth in a disappointed tone. "You said he was sleeping and asked for more time to rest?"
Melanie bit her lower lip nervously. "You're dealing with an important client, Phi, I don't want to bother you with something like that," Melanie replied matter-of-factly. "You've neglected your important work the past few days in taking care of Javin, and I think it's time he took care of himself and left you alone."
Forth looked at Melanie in astonishment. Shone quickly calmed Forth who looked like he was ready to explode. He motioned for Kwan to take Melanie out of Forth's study.
Forth panicked when he entered Javin's room to check and saw Javin wasn't there, different from what Melanie said when Forth asked her to check on Javin's condition.
The room is empty. Not only was Javin's figure not there, even his belongings weren't there at all. Javin just disappeared, as if he had never been there at all.
