Aaron was packing his bags. He had messy black hair and white skin and green eyes. He looked around his eyes then though he should look at his dojo one last time. Before his parents died he had a small dojo where they taught an ancient fighting style (see synopsis)
He looked around and saw a door next to the stairs. He had never noticed this door. He tried to open it but it was locked. He used some strength to force to door open. There was a pedestal with a leather book on it. He picked it up.
The book felt old and dusty. There was no titles or description about the the book. When he opened it the first page said.
" Hello if you are reading this you want power."
Suddenly word started to appear on the paper as if someone was writing it in real time. The ink read
" The first step to getting power is getting a system. A system is like a tracker it helps you keep track or your status. I have already uploaded your system to open it say status."
Aaron hesitated then
KNOCK

he was late he checked his watch it's was 4:06 pm he ran to the door and apologized to the bus driver.
He fell asleep on the way while holding the book. He woke up and saw a massive city blue lights everywhere. He looked around everyone else was passed out.
He finally said it " status"

Looking at the panel Aaron was confused. Species, affinities, Mana? What is that. He saw some words appear in the book.
I can see your confusion let me explain, Your species may change depending on your circumstances. Titles are what your name is like who you are known as. Mana is your energy and how you use your skills when you unlock them. Your affinities are the elements you can use and they are never changeable.
After this explanation Aaron was not as confused anymore with some inference he said " Skills"

After reading the skills on this description Aaron looked surprised. He didn't know he could start with skills but realized he could probably make his own skills since he has heard people with abilities are unique and can make their own unlike others who had to learn existing one of spend years creating one.
" Hey! Get off the bus!"
Aaron looked up and saw the bus was empty. He quickly ran out the bus and apologized to the driver. He finally saw campus. Instead of a one story green tents there was these massive brick building's. He looked around and saw the main building. Since everyone was just getting of the bus no one had started the line yet so he sprinted to the receptionist.
He thought about using his dash skill but suddenly he started running fast and zooming past everyone. He made it there in less than 25 seconds. He feel exhausted and looked at his status he dashed thrice and his mana went down by 36.
Aaron had realized he didn't start sweating and actually he didn't feel hot at all he felt cold. This must be a side effect of having a cold affinity. He then realized his skills, they must be focused of him being a swordsman why else would he have a skill called black mist slash and heavy sword.
He picked up a form and filled out his powers and abilities. He handed the slip to the receptionist and was pointed to orientation. He sat down around a few people and started some conversation.
Aaron said " Hey what's your name?" The girl next to him said " Oh hello, my name is Vivian." " My name is Aaron."
After a few minutes Aaron and Vivian were laughing and joking about middle school. The lights then turned off, he saw a woman standing on stage.
" Hello, I am your principal Mrs. Roster. This school year you are being provided with supplies. They will be in your dorm room. You will Not start any fights. Alright that's all you dorm room number is under your seat.
Aaron and Vivian pick up their numbers. They realize they have to same numbers. Aaron tried to ask a employee why he got paired with a girl but the employee said " What? Are you some horny middle schooler?" Aaron felt embarrassed and just accepted it.
Aaron and Vivan both got their schedules and went to there dorm. There were three rooms 2 bedrooms and 1 living room. Aaron used some spare cash to finally get a phone and went to a blacksmith. He opened the book.
" There is a special items in this store. It will be a black sword for super cheap I built it for you a long time ago."
Aaron took his remaining $1200 and walked into the smithery. He saw a black sword it had a purple glint to it and a black hilt. He haggled with the black smith and got the price to $1150. He then bought some groceries with the remaining $50. He went back to the school and started exploring.
He found this massive building labeled Gymnasium. He walked over the the track and repeatedly used his dash skill. He dashed 5 times using 60 mana and seemed exhausted he saw his Mana slowly go up about 2 every seconds.
He tried to use his sword skill black mist slash. His sword was covered in this cold black mist. He also used heavy sword he found this training dummy. He held the sword above his head using all his strength swinging down at the dummy. The sword went straight through the dummy and hit the wooden floor. Aaron surprised slowly pulled the sword out of the ground. He ran out the gym scared someone would catch him in the act.
After getting back to his dorm room he took a shower. He talked a little bit with Vivian about what happened and at about 19:23 they went to sleep.
Authors note: Hey readers, this is my first Novel and it's just some practice for school. I take a lot of inspiration from other novels such as interactive system and military school. I put one spin of the system making it a book though I don't think anyone done that before, right?
