Queen Beta's slender fingers clenched into fists as she paced within the confines of her chambers, her mind racing with thoughts of her son, Prince Kyrian. The weight of her kingdom's disdain for him bore down upon her like a physical force, threatening to crush her very spirit.
"I want my son back, by all means," she whispered to herself, her voice trembling with determination. "I know they are lying against my son. They do not understand him, they do not see his heart."
Cika, her loyal companion, entered the room unnoticed, watching with concern as the queen's emotional turmoil unfolded before her. She approached Queen Beta, placing a gentle hand on her shoulder.
"My queen, do not hurt yourself," Cika said softly. "You are soliloquizing again. There is another way to find the truth and bring peace to your heart."
Queen Beta turned, her eyes red-rimmed from unshed tears. "What way, Cika? I have tried everything. I have prayed to the gods, sought counsel from our wisest advisors... nothing brings me solace."
Cika's expression turned solemn. "I know a certain person, a Diviner of great renown, who can unveil the secrets you seek. She resides within the mystical citadel of El'goroth, a place of ancient wisdom and forgotten knowledge."
Queen Beta's gaze narrowed, a spark of hope igniting within her. "Tell me more of this Diviner."
"Mistress Alethea Calanthor is her name," Cika began. "Her reputation precedes her, a woman of unparalleled insight and wisdom. She has traversed the realms of the unknown, communing with spirits of the land, and unraveling the tangled threads of fate."
Without hesitation, Queen Beta grasped Cika's arm, her grip urgent. "Take me to her, Cika. I must know the truth about my son."
