Chapter 9 - hidden red thread.

"Long ago, there was a fire incident due to someone sabotaging the electricity in the hospital. Firefighters tried to extinguish the fire and also rescued patients who were still left behind. One of the firefighters was.. my husband."

"Then, where's your husband?" He asked

"he died."

"died?" he said in shock.

"Yes. Someone shoots gun at his back as he manages to take miya out. He died on the way to another hospital. Miya was hit by the asphalt and was stepped on by residents who saw the fire. After the incident, the police investigating the location learned that 15 victims were found burned to death, but one of the known patients was in a coma. I heard that person disappeared without a trace. But 3 days later, a man was found dead hit by a truck. Reportedly, the victim was taken by members of the traffic police who were on patrol at the time to be taken to a proper hospital. I feel sorry for that patient."

Jun couldn't say anything because what he said seemed to be very much related to what he had experienced before even though he couldn't really remember for sure.

"I'm sorry." he muttered.

"Why are you apologizing?" he said looking curious.

Unfortunately, Jun diverts the conversation instead.

"Ah... That.. I just say.. About your husband. Sorry... "

Seeing Jun's innocence made her feel relieved.

"It's okay kid. In fact, I'm glad to be able to tell this to someone who saved miya. Then, I'll be back to visit miya. She should have been able to visit. You also visit her everyday, if you don't mind." she said with a relieved smile.

"Sure," he said, waving his hand.

As soon as Miya's mother left the cafe, Jun fell silent again. He felt that it was not right to talk about the incident, because he was still not sure.

And when he heard the incident directly from Miya's mother, he felt that he should be prepared to go deeper.

When his co-worker approached him, he took something out of his pocket, and immediately gave it to him.

"Can you take this to the manager.. tell him to analyze and send the results. I'm sure the chairman and the others are also curious about this recording."

Even though he was ready. Unfortunately, he couldn't hold back the tears that just flowed. He could only hold back the sound of crying, but he couldn't help but feel sad from the bottom of his heart.

What he heard from Miya's mother made him feel that he should be able to make up his mind. Even deep in his heart.
