Chapter 7 - Chapter VII: The bearer of the Water relic

Quest building, west side of the school for Elites, organization of guardians and teachers.

The mission building was a large two-story stone and metal structure in a populated area, it contained glass doors, windows facing the patio where statues and fountains adorned a garden of fruit trees, in addition, its earthenware corridors adorned by green colors with bright blues it gave a magical feeling during the day.

People were walking around and inside carrying busy, each one collecting or delivering papers.

Some stopped to look around confused looking for something and others glanced sideways at two women sitting near a door.

Office of the head of Missions of the organization.

A young woman with black hair with streaks dyed blue was sitting waiting, she impatiently looked around her.

Her name was Sarah, her sharp eyes, pale skin with a built body defined her as an intelligent and ruthless young woman, her figure was enviable at aesthetic levels, deep down she hated the intense looks that some men sent her, unpleasant for her. your pleasure.

The young woman lacked virtues such as knowing how to wait and act correctly, but she mastered many excellent fighting methods to survive, which positioned her as an excellent warrior in the organization.

The organization was an entity in charge of fighting terrorist groups and corruption in the country, their interests with the governments were nil, but they were good at getting what they wanted, at that time they were in a small crisis, many guardians and teachers had deserted or disappeared as a result of world political instability, many spoke of a possible war between countries, this forced them to close themselves off from any action that would endanger their interests.

One of those interests was to protect the relics and their bearers, who were powerful entities to be feared, though not loyal to their ambitions.

It was difficult to obtain a relic, and even worse, to control the bearer of it.

At this time the girl stopped thinking about the memories of her sighing at her, she looked around her listlessly and after a few minutes her eyes narrowed.

"I swear I'll kill that old man if he makes me wait one more minute" the delicate voice with that airy tone invaded the room.

The women outside the room rose and bowed, footsteps echoing from the other side of the door.

"Finally" thought the young woman with a neutral smile, the door opened letting in an old man with a cane, he was wearing a black business suit with a white shirt, having a companion tie, he was walking slowly reading some documents.

The man's way of acting was so common for the young woman that she couldn't help but smile.

"We don't all have time" the young woman mocked when she saw the man's figure out of the corner of her eye, he ignored her joke concentrating on something, his eyebrows furrowed and he seemed annoyed, her mustache twitched when he spoke.

"I refuse" was the first thing she said throwing her papers to her desk, she sat facing her companion barely divided by a table, she carried a threatening air.

"You refuse?" asked the young woman raising an eyebrow and tightening her lips, that look could kill her.

The man was not intimidated, though his heart darkened with concern.

"She grows up so fast, getting to this point" he thought without showing it on his face, his hands clenched into fists.

"why?" The air around him turned stifling, but the man didn't flinch.

He already expected that question, he took a deep breath before speaking.

"You are a relic bearer, going to Misaki will only expose you, we don't have much jurisdiction in that place, give up your efforts and focus on being stronger" the forceful voice ended up eliminating the little patience that the young woman had, with a movement from her arm a dagger was between her and the man's throat.

The air was so tense you could cut yourself with a knife.

"Give me a reason not to kill you and become your enemy" she spoke with a cold voice, she would not allow the interests of those old men to prevent her from fulfilling her objectives.

That man was not her enemy, but those who were behind him were, those guys who managed everything from the shadows, those who with an order could eliminate a town.

The young woman resented in her heart, she did not want to do this, but most had given up helping her, she had little support and her desire was an obstacle for others, she wanted to scream because of how unfair it felt, but she held back, she tried to give herself encouragement, he soon remembered his goal.

"He's worth it" a shadow of sadness crossed her eyes, then the temples.

The man noticed it, feeling an urgency in her body, he wanted to hug her, but he held back, he had to act strong for her, for himself.

"You will die if you go, what happened years ago can happen again, without knowing the whereabouts of the relic of light and the relic of the wind it is impossible for you to have allies, don't count on the bearer of the relic of the earth, it's a hopeless case, you as the relic of the water will be in serious danger if you go to that city, we don't want another..." he kept silent when he realized what was going on to say

The young woman narrowed her eyes at the last sentence, she had doubts that she was going to say, however she didn't ask, she didn't like knowing what she would not serve in her goals.

Misaki, the lawless city, known to be controlled by many foreign organizations, it would be difficult to set foot undetected, but she was not weak, she could defend herself.

She soon continued the talk.

"You read it, didn't you? I fulfilled all the parameters for the mission, the only thing I need is two people, I already have them, you won't regret it" the young woman's eyes were serious for a moment, then she lowered the dagger resignedly.

The man's temper began to break, his body trembled and she could barely speak.

"I can, but if I do, what assures me that you will come back? Losing a relic is already a problem for us, and I couldn't accept losing you" said the old man covering his face with his hand, he had collapsed, he felt helpless .

"Grandpa, please, it's important to me, it concerns us all, the..." the young woman fell silent listening to the man's sobs.

"... it's worth it" she thought again, her family was her only support, but even they had already given up, it was as if that city would take away anyone's hope of fighting, she hated that feeling .

She turned around without hearing her familiar's pleas.

"Don't do it, that place is certain death, please don't..." The door closed, he wanted to stop her, but doing it by force wouldn't work, it would cause chaos in the place, he didn't want that, all he had left was give up and pray

She did so, she gave a prayer hoping that her granddaughter would come back safe and sound.

Outside the office two women were waiting for him, dressed for a trip and carrying bags with them.

"You're very soft, I told you I wouldn't listen to you, we should have left in secret" said one of the women, she had short, light brown hair, she wore a scarf covering her pink lips, her clothes consisted of a jacket up to her navel, a dark blouse and pants, wearing leather boots.

The other girl, with long dark brown hair, had a ponytail in her hair, dressed in a black leather jacket, white blouse and knee-length blue pants, black boots covered her bottom giving her a dangerous appearance, she gave him a She pinched her companion before hugging the dyed-haired girl, Sarah accepted the gesture, relaxing.

"I wanted to say goodbye, stopping a relic means making it your enemy, only a few would be able to try" she whispered, trying to cheer herself up, there would be consequences, but she had already prepared everything beforehand.

She wasn't going to back down.

Separating, the three took their things leaving the building, people walked around the place oblivious to what happened, from time to time they greeted the three.

The road felt long and heavy for the young woman, from time to time she turned around with restless eyes, her friends supported her with a slight caress, it was not easy to go against everyone to do the right thing, they understood the seriousness about the matter and said nothing.

Soon they were in an area with many parked cars, there was no one except them, in the distance a stone road stretched over a green field, the blue sky covered the skies with nostalgic clouds on their laurels.

They got to the car, got in, arranged their things and waited in silence, the girl stopped being immersed in her world, she was barely aware of where she was before covering her eyes with a filter of coldness.

"Let's go to Misaki" the leader said, the car started and they moved down the road.

In the distance everything became small, as if they would never return, that feeling attacked them, but they continued, their mission was more important.

Everything faded into thin air.
