Lucas is panicking he hid in Jess' basement, behind a cage that presumably was built to contain whatever the fuck was in front of him. The creature towered over Lucas when it chased him, with claws and fangs far too sharp to doubt they would have ripped him apart had he not run. The creature reached between the bars but alas he was safe from the furry beast.
Earlier that day Lucas had prepared polvorones for Jessica since it was her birthday, and she loved his baking. He knew she wouldn't want a full blown cake since they only really talked to eachother and neither had family living near. He has known her for 16 years, since he was 5 and she was 7. In all those years Lucas knew a lot of things about Jessica, even that she was a werewolf but she never showed him that side of her. The sky on her birthday behaved strangely, the moon's phase shifted and it triggered a transformation while they were watching a movie in the living room. She had always told Lucas to keep silver weapons on him and kept a lot of silver around her house but he didn't want to hurt her so he just ran.
Now stuck behind bars capable to hold this wolf he had no choice but to wait out the night, he couldn't sleep from it's growls and scratching so he tried to calm it down with songs Jess enjoys. At first the Creature drowned out the sound but eventually it calmed down and stopped trying to attack him. It seemed as though the beast had lost it's bloodlust, with this it seemed to gain higher intelligence, managing to open the cage using the locks which he had not managed to properly close. It laid next to him snuggling up to him, it growled at any attempt to move away.
This was the first time Lucas had seen Jess in this way and he thought to himself maybe he could be more involved in her life during these events.
