Keisha let out a weary sigh as she stood by her room door, mentally preparing herself to go downstairs. She'd already washed her tear-stained face and gargled some mouth wash, in hopes that Steph wouldn't notice what a mess she probably now looked.
Speaking of her friend, the older girl would've certainly begun to worry considering the fact that she'd spent almost thirty minutes in the "bathroom".
She needed to go back to the living room, even if it was just for a few minutes. After that, she'd make up an excuse and ask them to leave. As much as she would've love to spend time with her friend, she didn't want to have to put up with the devil she'd brought along.
Gathering courage, Keisha pushed her door open and made her way outside. She treaded slowly, her ankle still hurt from the accident in the rain earlier that day.
That felt like ages ago, though in reality it had only been a few hours. Who knew so much could happen in such a short amount of time?
