It was still raining heavily as Keisha ran through Luka's neighbourhood, the streets void of a single soul except for the weeping girl who pummeled down the sidewalk. The thunder drowned out her heartbroken sobs, her salty tears mixing with the showers of rain that drenched her face, dripping off her chin and unto her soaked clothes.
Keisha would never have foreseen her current circumstance, as she'd never imagined her conversation with Luka would end on such a sour note. All she wanted was to put an end to their petty drama, yet somehow it ended up with him saying the most hurtful things to her.
His words still hung over her like a cloud, constantly replaying in her head like a broken record – repulsive, disgusting, pathetic.
