The void of nothingness embraced me since that day on the balcony. The day you kneeled down and handed me the ring, and the day you made me promise. From there I new I was going to need to surrender to the darkness all by myself. I didn't know the darkness would promote to the sorrow that I have wept and shed. But at least in all these lonely nights I wouldn't need to fear for my life, far from right now.
As if Im trapped under the bottomless pit that leads to bones and shells. Where each bone is a reminder of all the sins that have consumed me, that have perished with nearly forgetting, that have tried to chase me down and tare me to pieces. That have given me the recurring nightmares that I refuse to tell.
And now what lies above me is something or someone who has eyes like fire, whose face seems so familiar yet cold and unmatched. The numbness of everything seems to go into a slow pace, I can see particles that shine white like the starts in the night. from the light beaming behind them... the one around its human neck. Those demonic eyes shift, they slowly turn and budge into something, someone so familiar. Those kind eyes of sinless sins.
He looks at me with concern with worry with care. The chiseled chin with smooth tan skin, the red eyes shifting to emerald gold.
"Marco" I whisper.
He smirks and relaxes his grip on my wrists, as if now he can trust me, as if he was the victim all along. what is he trying gaslight me? too can play it that game.
I kick his groin and push him of until I hear the satisfying thump on the floor. He rolls over and gets up with his messy curly hair covering his eyes. Enough time to stand up, slide my right foot backwards, bring my two hands up; and give him a little smile for the tease. Is it a sin to enjoy this even for just a little?
The echoes of concentration focuses on me. Everything comes to a pause for just one second, and after this very second, the array glow of his beaming necklace shines brighter. I quickly swing right, then kick left, Back kick him to his neck to only fail and be deflected with his strong hands. Is it just me or did his muscles get bigger?
Each precise movement I make he is able to counter attack them. sweat runs through my veins. My shortness of breath comes faster than usual. I glide and grab the sharp medal I won during my martial arts competition. The sharp, pointy metals attached to it help me have an advantage. I sling the medal towards his direction but he dodges again he grabs a vase and throws it just in time for me to duck and swing my feet below him.
He smacks to the ground, which enables me enough time to put my weight on his shoulders and shove my elbow to his neck, barely letting him breath. I bring the my sharp medal to his left cheek with enough pressure to dent him, but not bleed him.
"Now look who's the one on top now." I smirk
"Glad that our little dance came to an end, I've came to save you." He says with not a single drop of fear his eyes.
"Save me.. you call this saving?"
I raise my eyebrow at him thinking that he must be a maniac. without realizing the shock of being saved it made my elbows loosen up, that's when he manages to kick my back forcing me to land on the cold white floor, the medal slides under the bed and we're back to square one.
"Yes Selena I came to save you, you're in grave danger." he whispers as he is inches away from us touching lips.
"Get off me right now, or next time I'd let the medal bleed you." My voice is firm and serious, and that's where the glint of danger faces him now. he frowns and gets off while sitting next to my lying body.
"Relax I just wanted a closer look. I mean who would have known it would be you." He shrugs and looks at the mess of the room.
As I am appalled by the idea that this guy probably has no idea that this whole thing is absolutely not normal at all whatsoever. He claps and gets up offering his hand to help. I stand up by my self. He dusts off his shoulders and walks towards the balcony.
"Where is it?"
"Wheres what?"
"The ring" he looks at me and those kind eyes become cold.
"I don't know what you mean?" I lie, ofcourse I know what he means, but why does he want to know about the ring.
"I know he gave it to you, he sure loved you very much to give something so special to someone like you, I simply don't see it." he says with a hint of disgust.
"Why you?" he adds. I am deeply offended by the fact that I'm no one special, I guess another failure to add to my list.
"But why would you know about that in the first place, what's with all this intruding and messing up my apartment, what's with your glowing necklace thing. I mean how did you even get into my apartment, all the the windows are firmly closed." I ask as I walk towards him.
He looks at me with humor as he is about to chuckle "Listen this is really entertaining, but we barely got much time left, we have to go now." He is one foot away from jumping down the balcony.
"I promise I'll answer all your questions later, there are people looking for you, you're not safe here." He's one to talk.. he is literally the one wrecking the place. he offers his hand again indicating to trust him and to follow him. But how can I do that when he literally is breaking all kinds of laws right now.
"Answer me this, why would the love of my life have any relations, to the likes of you?" I ask while firmly crossing my hands.
"Because.. he's my brother."
