Lu Jingze was in disarray,not knowing what to do. He had his men track her number but her phone was off. He was getting insecure every second,"drive faster"he commanded Shi Rhue who stepped on the gas pedal. "Boss, we're breaking traffic rules and officers cars are behind us. Should i halt?"
Lu Jingze smirked"That's for you to decide,do you want to keep your job?"Shi Rhue already knew his answer and continued driving through the traffic lights.
The cars behind them eventually stopped noticing that the car showed no signs of parking. Shi Rhue breath in and drove to the Lu's ancestral home.
A place Lu Jingze dreaded to be in.
Shi Rhue peeked at his boss and saw his face was pale"Boss,are you alright. You seem sick"Lu Jingze laughed lowly and hoarsely"do I?"he seemed amused at what he had heard.
He had refused chemotherapy for three weeks now,how would his situation not get worst?.
Shi Rhue didn't answer the rhetorical question threw at him,he only faced his task and when he had reached there,he reminded Lu Jingze of his arrival.
Lu Jingze came down the car and looked at the large door in front of him"Young master, you're back"The man opening the gate greeted. Lu Jingze didn't have a warm atmosphere around him,so he didn't acknowledge the man's word.
He took long strides into the house and met his mother,father and devilish younger brother all sitted as they watched the tv but they were awaiting Lu Jingze arrival.
Immediately Lu Jingze mother sighted him and his pale face,she stood up, went towards him and held his face. "You look so pale, you're sick yet you ignore your treatment because of a girl"his mother complained.
Lu Jingze removed her hand and faced his father"You know why am here?"he asked coldly. His father chuckled,then his gaze turned stern as he chided Lu Jingze"You this unfilial son,you haven't been home for two years and when you have a situation,you come to the place you abandoned for refuge"
"What do you want?"Lu Jingze already knows the way of his father,he never cares about anyone but himself and his wife. If he shows you just a little emotion,he needs something in return.
Lu Jingze father laughed heartily"You know me so well..."he said and then continued"if you want your wife back,then give up your rights as the president of the Lu company"he said but then his wife sent him a look.
He sighed and added"And also treat yourself from the cancer you have"he said casually not caring if he does that or not.
"And whom might i ask is capable for the president seat. As far as i know you're no longer fit and able to handle such a position"
Lu Company is Lu Jingze hard work he had done all his life,the one in this city is not his main company,he has many branches everywhere but his main company is located in City X.
He wouldn't mind giving it all away for Nu Yanyan.
"Your brother of course,Lu Han"
Lu Han had a smug look on his face. He didn't know what was so good in this brother of his that everybody had to worship him,Lu Han had always been in Lu Jingze shadow but not anymore.
He was unhappy when he heard that his father said Lu Jingze should treat himself,why can't they just allow the useless one to die?.
"And attending your chemotherapy sessions is also important"His mother added.
Lu Han had always hated his mother,she always dote on Lu Jingze ever since they were little. And their father was not always around them so both father and mother were distant towards Lu Han who yearned for family love and support but never received any.
"And if i agree to this terms, you'd bring Yanyan safe and sound, you'd also protect her at all times, don't let anything happen to her, nobody to bully her. She mustn't lack anything and most importantly don't tell her where i am"
Lu Jingze stated out his conditions clearly,his mother came forward and held him"Are you really going for the chemotherapy?"his mother asked.
He had to remove her hand"you're not qualified to hear the answer".
His father sneered"You're so useless, giving up anything just for a woman".
His father gave a sign to a servant and the servant went to bring out a document.
