Chapter 9 - The game

Hatake Kakashi had a quiet retreat.

Ever since he transferred the responsibilities of the Hokage onto Naruto, his life had been pleasant and boring. The periods of peace were never during the peliplata's childhood or adolescence, very firm or lasting. In general, they were characterized by villages feigning non-aggression pacts, until they found a way to attack their foreign adversaries. Then wars, extermination, end of conflict and reflection. All in repetitive and exhausting cycles. Kakashi remembered perfectly, how certain movements in the shadows had reinitiated periods of endless conflicts in previous times.

The second Tsuchikage by case, was famous in these respects.

His ability to be undetectable and his virtue for stealth had allowed him to force attacks on the borderlines. A system of conflict that later led to advantageous wars. And so, history taught how the Kage of one or other villages in different times, used their cunning or power to generate sources of war.

However, something seemed to change when Madara Uchiha and finally the goddess Kaguya were defeated.

Peace was possible, from a diplomatic point of view. For the first time in many generations the Kage and their troops shared a site without massacring each other. Young Lord Kazekage's strong and calm leadership was rewarded with a union never seen before. Ninjas from all the villages learned to see in their foreign peers, an ally they could count on. While Lady Tsunade and her medical teams saved lives from different villages. Also the Raikage and his strength, the Tsuchikage and his iron morale, or the Mizukage with his extraordinary talent, wrote beautiful pages in the books of the fifth Shinobi war. The most important of all.

But the heart, spirit, and soul of this new peace; he was none other than their greatest hero. Naruto Uzumaki.

Kakashi succeeded Tsunade in leadership. And he was received on good terms with the rest of the leaders. An economic agreement was signed and the territories of influence were perfectly delimited, no new sources of fights were foreseen in the future. Even the Samurai, initially united as neutral mediators of the alliance, saw their participation useless. The ninjas for the first time in history, did not distrust each other. It was a great opportunity.

But the years passed, and although there was a general will to respect what was agreed with honor, the missions that involved certain problems in foreign territories, complicated everything. The feudalists still gave the orders, still provided the economy in the villages, and when something broke into their placid lives, they simply acted accordingly by reaching out to their local Shinobi.

To do? How to comply with robbery or murder orders in the land of allies? How to be faithful to the feudal lord, and at the same time not betray the peace that he had worked so hard to achieve? Only one man could stop the wave of hatred that could begin to grow from contradiction. Only one. The hero of the five countries. Naruto Uzumaki.

Kakashi was never a proud man. He would never have crossed his mind to hold on to a position that would sooner or later force him to make difficult decisions. Why continue as leader, when war was a more than probable future? Finding a solution was paramount, and avoiding any possible attempt to sabotage the peace was most important.

However, the loyalty between Shinobi from different villages was invariably wearing thin. Spilled blood and oaths of revenge flared as rumors of the return to missions abroad won popular comments. People did not forget that Kumo and Iwa hated each other to death. That Kiri was unreliable because of his bloody past. There was also no lack in Konoha, who wanted to settle accounts with the Suna ninjas, for the invasion that Orochimaru caused years ago. And how much pain it caused with among other misfortunes, the death of the third Hokage.

Kakashi announced his resignation from the post, arguing that Konoha must necessarily recognize Naruto Uzumaki as the seventh leader of the village hidden among the leaves. And the rest of the Kage, while praising the new news, adopted suspicious attitudes over the years. The third Tsuchikage Oonoki was the first to retire from his post, something predictable by age. But not so expected was the retirement of the teacher Mizukage, who argued that she was tired of so much travel and diplomatic talk. Finally, what made Kakashi suspect that something bad would happen, was the abrupt withdrawal of the Raikage. Who left in front of Darui, a capable but perhaps unobserved young man as a successor in time and space. Only the Kazekage remained in charge of him, as his youth and ability were at the highest levels. Furthermore, his devotion and friendship for Naruto Uzumaki, his best friend and his ally now among the village leaders, was known.

Parallel to a Naruto signing a new alliance with all the peers, Kakashi did not get caught up in the idleness of being a retired ninja. He had networks of informants among the Jounnin in Naruto's service, and in the ANBU special forces under Sai's command. And the news was not encouraging at all.

The previous leaders of the village council had sworn peace as long as they remained in office. And now retired, with other men or women with hats and the brightness of daylight, they were preparing to form a military force that would fulfill those missions that legally they could not. In short, each Shinobi village had a supplementary village that worked in the shadows. Run, of course, by the previous owners of Kage's stall. When Kakashi found out, he spoke to the only woman he could. He had to report everything to Tsunade Senju. And it was the fifth Hokage herself, who resolved to give her the idea that she would project the future:

-I retired from the post so as not to fail -she said drinking in a bar one night, having dinner with Kakashi alone- I put you in front of everything, because you understood both parts of the coin. You were ANBU, and also Jounnin sensei. You will understand it almost better than anyone.

-Naruto will keep the peace, I'm sure of it. –Said the silver-haired man, still not convinced of his words.

-Naruto will be fine, as long as he does not discover the truth. That would break her heart.

-What truth, Tsunade-sama?

-There is no peace in our world Kakashi ... -said the woman gravely- since we were born, we were trained by and for war. We are swords with a mind of our own, it is true. But a cutting edge only knows how to do what its nature dictates ... cut.

-Naruto is not like that.

-But he's not the only player in this game, right? -Kunoichi smiled bitterly- Heaven help us if something happens to that boy. Because no one else can keep the peace like him.

The fifth Hokage was right, as almost always when she gambled on her ill omens. Kakashi took a few months to verify that indeed, the ex-leader had a correct intuition. While the new Kage continued their peaceful gatherings in complete harmony, in the dark the former Kage led a number of their ninjas to undertake the missions required by the feudalists in question, no matter where or whom they injured in the process.

So, Hatake Kakashi did what he could never do in the past. He did what he owed his student since the days of the academy. Protect it. Sasuke and Sakura now had nothing to do with this matter. It was Naruto who was in danger. Kakashi had to help him and to add difficulty, he had to do it behind his back. Preventing the young Hokage from suffering the consequences of losing faith in his Shinobi path. As Naruto sought world peace, his former sensei had to stop the silent drums of those who were brewing a new war.

Kakashi was drinking tea in the backyard of his house, calmly reflecting on the past. He had acted in such a way that upon discovery, he could merit a charge of treason. But being the previous Hokage, he had had the opportunity to cover his tracks as best as possible. Leave certain economic funds set aside for his combat division. Recruit specific ninjas from certain branches, for the protection of the peace in Konoha. Kakashi and his "Root" had aborted dozens of sources of conflict in the lands of fire. Also within Konoha, where the actions of certain ninjas could endanger the stability of the village. He counted among the best elements of him, with Sai. A man who had the leadership of the traditional ANBU, but in parallel worked for the Root, filtering useful information. In addition to diverting the attention of the members of the special group, how much they had to fulfill certain suspicious tasks.

Some ninjas more troublesome than others, some with very specific weaknesses and virtues. But every man and woman who had been incorporated into Kakashi's group, had the full consciousness of fidelity to Konoha. They would even disobey the Hokage, in order to save the peace of the village. Willing to die, willing to be taken as traitors, willing to a double life in a village where eyes and ears registered almost everything. Had Kakashi been right in forming a Shinobi division behind the back of the Hokage's power? Sometimes he had doubts about him, but when he seemed to waver the most in his decision, it was time to take a look at that young man who had just entered his own house.

Boruto Uzumaki was none other than the son of the Hokage. A young Shinobi who, from a very young age, lived in the shadow of a legend like his father. The new generations of ninjas did not dare to believe when the older adults who had known Naruto forever, said that he was the worst of the class. No one dared to say out loud that he was rejected as a child for being a jinchuriki. And even if they said it with some guilt, few could believe the unfortunate commentator. It was not that Naruto Uzumaki's past was hidden, but simply that the devotion that he generated for his brave contribution in the last war, erased the defects of his past until they almost disappeared. Making him a living statue, turning him into a kind of Shinobi god. A myth that still lasted and walked among all of us.

Against all that, Boruto Uzumaki had to grow up under the huge shadow cast by his father. And it was not easy for the boy, who to top it off did not have the best attention from the Konoha leader. The politics and the office paperwork absorbed Naruto to the point of exhaustion. Maintaining world peace was not an easy task, and the Hokage who had suffered the death of some friends in the last war, did everything he could to prevent it from happening again. How could he fight ninjas after all he had been through? How could he fight any Shinobi village, having friends in all of them? The alliance had to be maintained, at any cost, and using all the time required to achieve it.

Boruto Uzumaki suffered greatly. And he was badly humiliated in an exam fight to be promoted to the Chunnin rank. Kakashi watched him carefully. So much like Naruto, so hurt that he couldn't get the attention of his father. Boruto was a young man who needed personal guidance, since his true abilities would be sources of conflict if they were not properly hidden. Therefore, one of the first missions of "Root" was to train and hide from the knowledge of the Hyuuga, the development of the Byakugan in Boruto Uzumaki.

"Kakashi-sama ..." Bolt bowed slightly, greeting his leader, "I apologize for coming to see him."

-You don't have to be so formal with me Bolt ... -smiled the silver-haired man who even when they were alone did not reveal his rank ancestry -I appreciate you taking some of your free time, to visit your uncle.

"Uncle" Kakashi, a familiar way of treating a subject who was more of a teacher than a relative. Boruto had signed for Raíz at age 15, and since then he had worked hard to be a valuable part of that division. Soon, Kakashi's doubts about the true ability of Naruto's son were dispelled. He was mildly surprised by the accelerated growth in all areas of combat and strategy. Bolt wasn't loud and cheeky like Naruto was, he didn't have his strength or his pure heart. But he was smarter, quieter, and more calculating. He had a look of feigned innocence, hiding from a school manipulator. He was the perfect element to play in the shadows. And he had inherited from his father a terrible weapon. The inalienable will to never give up.

"Uncle Kakashi ... I'm sorry ..." the boy accused knowing himself alone, and sat next to the silver-haired man to talk face to face, "I know this situation is not recommended, but I have little time.

Usually, the members of Raíz did not know each other. Everyone recognized the leader in Sai, and few knew that the sixth Hokage orchestrated everything from the shadows. The entire division was arranged in "cells", only three or maybe four Shinobi who knew each other formed into teams. But not to members of other branches. So then, if a group was captured or discovered, not even the most aberrant torture would make them reveal what they did not know. It was a measure of care, and few surpassed it among whom was the Hokage's son. Regarding Boruto, Kakashi decided to exercise a more personal and strict leadership. After all, he had one of the most important missions of all. Give protection and security to the seventh Hokage, together with his family.

"A visit from time to time with your uncle," the silver-haired man smiled slightly, "is not frowned upon, nor is it worthy of suspicion. Go ahead boy… .speak I'm listening.

Bolt looked at him skeptically, a droplet streaking his face. Yes, he must be bored. Not even constantly rereading that series of ICHA books ICHA would pull it off. It was difficult for ninjas active for so many years as ex-Hokage, to accept retirement fully. Sometimes Bolt wondered if Kakashi shouldn't get himself a woman and get married. Being alone was pretty heavy.

-My sister has problems ... -said the blonde without filters, after a while- and I can't go to help her. I am being watched. It would raise suspicions.

-What kind of problems? -I consult the silverhead- as I learned, my niece is strong enough to get out of whatever.

"Not this time ..." Bolt added, "and I request help from another Root cell, to protect it from her."

After that, just silence. Kakashi allowed Bolt to inform him of all the events that have occurred in the last few months. Apparently, Sakura's situation had become extremely complicated. And the Hyuuga were about to unleash disaster by trying to keep the Byakugan only for their clan. Bolt's moves to resolve both issues, as well as the Kiba Inuzuka issue seemed too final for Kakashi.

-Your father would never have done any of this… -the ex-Hokage told him sincerely, after listening to him for more than an hour -and now you ask me to intervene. You know the rules, we must not be discovered.

"I'm not like my father ..." Bolt replied harshly, "and I never will be." But even the thickest tree, he has ugly, deep and dark roots. They feed and sustain it. Don't ask me for flowers, I'm just a simple root.

Again some silence. Kakashi did not approve of those methods, but he couldn't help but remember that ninjas like Ibiki Morino in the torture division, or Anko Mitarashi when she worked in espionage outside of Konoha acted the same or worse. How was he modified in one case or the other? Perhaps Boruto's youth. Maybe that face so similar to Naruto. It was like seeing an angel, acting like the devil himself. And for worse, being deadly effective at his task.

-Hanabi Hyuuga won't be a bother. -Bolt pointed to her leader-she knows the roots, but maybe she just discovered some isolated cell. Besides, her body and her mind will soon be under my control. I will take care of shaping her perfectly, so that she is faithful and obedient to the Hokage. With that I will conclude my mission.

Mind manipulation techniques were effective. Kakashi had received reports from Sai and Boruto himself about what his special Byakugan could do. Hanabi Hyuuga must not die, as beheading the most powerful clan in her village by murdering her would cause a lot of trouble. But having her as an ally of hers, even against her will, would be tactically great. No one could dispute Naruto's leadership in the leaf village anymore. Manipulation, a thought that reminded Kakashi of a certain unpleasant matter:

"Sakura was my student ..." Kakashi said to the young Uzumaki, "and what you have done to him does not please me." But Sai's reports were conclusive. Your methods, although brutal and dangerous, are equally effective. But remember, I did not train you to use the power for your personal gain. I did, because you promised to defend Konoha with your life. She has suffered too much Bolt, let her go.

The boy stood up. With folded arms he walked through the backyard garden listening to the reprimands of his teacher. Kakashi if he could hear. It was Hatake Kakashi who had trained and protected him. He was the one who didn't let him down when everyone laughed at him, for the defeat in the Chunnin exams.

"I'm sorry sensei," Bolt admitted, "I can't lie to you saying that Sakura is just one more mission." Perhaps it is or not, just a physical matter my relationship with her. But also, there is the matter of Sarada-chan. I can't let her father's pig manipulate her like that. And even if she allowed it…. What will stop that guy from continuing to do what he wants? He is someone uncontrollable. You are reluctant to admit that sooner or later, we will have to kill him.

Kakashi knew Bolt was right. His root precepts were to bring peace and order to support Naruto. But Sasuke Uchiha, in all his long life he had never been a reliable or responsible subject. He was spending his time away from Konoha, doing who he knew what, and without respecting any kind of organization. Would he really be faithful to Naruto forever? Wouldn't he freak out like Uchiha Madara did decades ago? There was no guarantee of anything. And it hurt Kakashi to admit that his former student was dangerous. Sasuke Uchiha, when something was not fulfilled as his wish, it became irrational and dangerous. And paradoxically, the only ninja who could stop him in combat was the least willing to do so. None other than his best friend, Naruto Uzumaki.

"Sakura is unattainable for you," Kakashi told him so that Bolt would not get into trouble. "She is a married woman and she would cause difficulties with your father." But I understand that you have fulfilled the mission that was assigned to you. Sakura should not become your father's lover, and with your intervention it will no longer happen. Now as for your position, I don't want you in the middle of a conflict with Uchiha Sasuke. Losing you would be a serious blow to our organization. And above all for your family.

-Lose myself? –The young man smiled and Kakashi found it difficult- Kakashi-sensei shouldn't worry. I like my job, I like knowing that I protect my family. But keep one thing in mind, Sarada-chan has been my friend for far too long. Practically, she is my family.

-And what will you do when I find out what you did with her mother? Because in a ninja village, sooner or later everything is known.

-It will be better than leaving her in the hands of the idiot of her father. –Said the blond man decidedly– and if he hates me for what I did, at least he will have the freedom to choose who to hate, or who to love.

The conversations were never easy. Boruto had a rebellious heart, although he had never lacked personal sacrifice. Kakashi, however, noted that the issue of the Uchiha women was a sensitive key in the young Shinobi. And that he disliked Sasuke too much. Although he maybe he wasn't seeing the general of this matter. If he acted to stop Sasuke from getting his way, he could face a guy that he couldn't defeat. And if he turned to Naruto, being the only one who might be able to, he would reveal his clandestine relationship with Sakura. Something that Kakashi knew would be painful for Naruto. The woman he loved throughout his adolescence, lover of his son? Not even Kakashi, he could imagine how it would all end.

Hinata left the village two days after having that disturbing conversation with Bolt. Her son had promised to go after Hanabi in 48 hours, but after 3 days he still did not have the time to do that job. Right now, the Hokage's wife knew that both her son and her husband had left the village for that "special training." What could be expected of that fight? Hinata didn't even want to think about where it would all end. However, for now she had another more dangerous matter to attend to.

Since last night, she had been relentlessly watching Boruto to wait for him to leave Konoha in search of refuge in the woods. He had every intention of following him, the plan to prevent him from continuing to harm his sister Hanabi of his. In short, Hinata didn't want to see his younger sister suffer. It was true that she had not behaved well. But she couldn't help but feel that it was wrong and dangerous to keep holding her captive. What would happen when the Hyuuga clan elders began to suspect that "long training" that the leader was taking outside the village? the matter could not be delayed any longer. For better or worse, Hanabi must return to Konoha.

Hinata left the village, taking care that no one suspected even her steps from him. During the 10 kilometers that she had to travel through the forests, the woman she thought and rethink the different circumstances that led her to this horrible situation.

Everything began to be transgressed a few years after Himawari's birth. It was when the famous meetings with the Uchiha became a custom. Hinata never had anything against Sakura. Nor with little Sarada who was friends with her son Bolt hers, practically from her cradle. But the constant faults of Sasuke Uchiha, created a void that made the Uzumaki couple tremble. It was evident to Hinata, that Sakura had marital problems with her "love of her life" and even worse, she had in front of her a man who had loved and desired her since childhood. Hinata began to suffer, with those knowing smiles from her old friends. With the team 7 stories that didn't involve her. Hinata soon found herself isolated. She living in the middle of a bond between her husband and Sakura Uchiha, which little by little took more and more strength. To do? How far would they go?

Hinata felt unable to claim anything from Naruto. She basically did not know if it was her own jealousy that made her see that relationship of her husband with Uchiha's wife, or if the fires that years ago could have ended with Sakura and Naruto married had simply been rekindled. Leaving her completely alone. Was it friendship? Was it unrecognized love? Hinata was never able to confront Naruto to find out. She was afraid, very afraid that forcing the situation would end up breaking the marriage that she had so hard to get. She loved her husband, she loved him deeply and she didn't want to lose him.

She made a couple of serious mistakes. One was related to the habitual intake of sake, and the other mistake, was trusting an ex-teammate, whom she Hinata considered just a good friend. Kiba Inuzuka was not her sincere friend. He was just a ladyboy who saw the opportunity to fuck a woman she had wanted for many years. Hinata trusted, and the result of her was her waking up naked in the arms of a man who was not her beloved husband. What madness! That mistake! She had committed the worst crime a wife could do. She committed adultery, and she did it in a way that she could bring about what she had always feared. Now Naruto, if he had a clandestine relationship with Sakura Uchiha, he had the real excuse to make a breakup official.

Fights at home, almost total lack of sexual contact. Tension of a father with his eldest son. And to add insult to injury, that unfortunate discovery in Boruto's failed Chunnin exams. Her eldest son, against appearances, had a powerful Byakugan hidden in the blue of her eyes. Hinata paled at the realization of it, and she thanked all the gods that no one in the entire stadium noticed the vision forcibly activated by her son. He was defeated, and his secret was safe. At least for a time.

Since that discovery, Hinata did her best to hide that secret. It was not unknown to the woman, the consequences that could attract her son's new weapon to be public. Himawari had it too, and waking him up was quick when she was aware of how to channel chakra directly into her eyes. So with her children at risk of death, Hinata had to make them swear secrecy about her powers and train them with all their heart. So that they had enough strength and intelligence to go unnoticed.

Hinata finally reached the forest area, where the cabin was stranded. There inside her was her younger sister Hanabi. A woman Hinata adored, but had felt the dagger of her betrayal at her hand like anyone else. It was Hanabi who emerged as her confidante, when the Uzumaki woman described the details of her daily misfortunes. Suspicions about Naruto's infidelity. The vice of sake. The night where Kiba behaved like an animal. Where he took advantage of the weakness of a suffering woman. And finally the secret of his children. The Byakugan that the Hyuuga did not own, and should not be misused.

Suddenly, everything seemed to settle. Sakura stopped relating so closely to Naruto. Lord Hokage began to regain his desire for his wife, and even the children seemed more empathetic. The Uzumaki regained their tranquility for a short time. Although that Eden, little had a particular duration.

First Kiba, who tried to interfere in Hinata's marriage by informing the Hokage of the past. He was killed, and the woman had a feeling that Boruto had had something to do with it. Then Hanabi, not satisfied with claiming to own the Bolt, further planned to assassinate Himawari. How could such a misfortune happen? How could Hanabi her own sister betray her like this?

Hinata even after all, felt compassion for his sister. She felt that what Bolt had done to her was too cruel. But on the other hand, she couldn't help but acknowledge that her eldest son had had the courage to act like she couldn't. She protected her family from her. She did it without hesitation. When Hinata looked at Bolt, she saw a terrible version of her husband Naruto in youth. A dangerous and brutal teenager. Without guilt, without resentment. Someone who would do anything to keep his loved ones. That he would kill anyone, that he would go through the same hell to keep his loved ones. She feared him, and at the same time she admired him. The world was brutal and bloody. And Boruto Uzumaki was prepared to respond with the same level of aggression.

"Kami ..." said the woman when she opened the door of the cabin and found it empty.

The prints at the entrance indicated that Hanabi had fled. And by activating her Byakugan, Hinata could notice that the course taken by her unfortunate sister had inadvertently passed from the frying pan to the fire, without stopping. A few miles away, the Uzumaki woman's eyes revealed horror. The guards who were supposed to protect the Hyuuga leader, were surrounding her and subjugating her. Hinata didn't know the truth, but she guessed it. It all had to do with Bolt, somehow she had managed to win the loyalty of those miserable traitors. The Hyuuga clan guards were raping their own leader as if she were a disgusting whore.

Hinata ran through the trees. Furious, surprised, totally taken aback. What the hell were they doing to him ?! How dare they do so much ?! A bunch of bastards taking advantage of Hanabi-neechan. THEY WOULD PAY WITH THEIR LIFE for her!

Minutes later, Hinata descended on them like an arrow. They were all naked and taking turns to subdue their victim. While one of her subjects held Hanabi's arms against the ground, the other kneeling on the ground took advantage of her to fuck her hard. He had her holding her thighs, and a third of the group of depraved forced the young woman to suck her dirty penis, using the young woman's mouth as if she were a pussy.

Hinata didn't hesitate for a second, the first two blows from her broke the heart of the only Shinobi who was watching her rape scene from afar. Attacked from behind and distracted by the painting in front of his eyes, the subject died hardly noticing the attack. The rest of the team could barely react to the approach of death. Hinata kicked the first one hard, taking him away from his dominant position between Hanabi's legs, and then fatally struck with her sharp right hand, internally cutting the carotid of the one who had his sister by the arms. A precise attack here, another slash there, and the four guards who had abused her own leader now lay dead.

A few hours have passed since the event. Hinata had carried her sister in her arms straight to the cabin. And the only whispers that she could understand from the Hyuuga leader, they had little logic or reason. Hanabi seemed autistic, the rags that were left from her clothes were useless. Hinata had to partially dress her in garments of the dead, which she left lying around like animals. It was the first time that she murdered in cold blood. Hinata had never gotten this far, not even on his missions with Kurenai-sensei's old team. She had no idea how much damage she could cause herself by being furious. How easy she could murder her. Without a doubt, he had been greatly affected by seeing her little sister, being abused by four disgusting guys. No one would miss them. The pigs had gotten what they deserved from her.

-Onee-sama… .- Hanabi whispered into hers arms of her-onee-sama….

-Hanabi-neechan…. –The older Hyuuga replied- I'm so sorry. She never wanted ...

"It hurts ... it hurts a lot ..." said the victim in a daze.

Hinata didn't understand him. It was shocking enough to hold his sister in her arms. Having her half naked and completely covered in semen. Her body sweaty from hers, full of bruises and cuts. Bleeding and exhausted. Was she referring to her injuries? Did the cuts on her body itch hard? He had to heal her, and she would.

-We're here… -Hinata told him when they went through the door of the cabin- I'm going to heal you.

-It hurts… ..onee-san help me. It's my fault, but it hurts a lot.

Hinata tried to clean her, placed her on the table where she knew Hanabi was tied and captive. He began by rearranging the young woman's injured shoulder. Then he covered some wounds and cleaned what he could from her body. The smell of semen and blood was intense, and she Hinata knew that she was not going to be able to remove it with just a superficial cleaning.

"We have a small lake nearby," she said to her younger sister, "I'll take you to bathe."

"No!… .Don't get me out of here…" Hanabi stammered autistic, "he warned me not to go out." He he warned me that they would hurt me.

Hinata could imagine he was talking about Bolt. She had somehow totally broken Hanabi, to the point that she couldn't defend herself well against the four louts who captured her. And the pain she had caused him, she was barely conceivable in size and extent. For one thing, Hinata thought his own son had turned into a monster. But she, too, remembered what originally prompted her to come looking for Hanabi.

"I'll take you and we'll come back here later," she announced in a firmer voice so that he would obey, "no one will hurt you as long as you obey."

Hinata did not know where those words came from that conjugated with a type of "order". But Hanabi's reaction was to nod and remain silent. It was as if she responded loyally to her older sister after so many years of superb sense of superiority. Hinata also remembered ...

That her daughter Himawari, had been savagely attacked in the middle of the mission on the border with the land of lightning. The very members of her team, added to 3 members of the Hyuuga clan, were the culprits. Hima had defended her life as best she could, but she eventually ended up being rescued by a team of ANBU special forces who supported her in time. Even so, she was brought in in poor condition and she still lay in the hospital recovering. It could be worse, if Himawari hadn't been so strong. Or if those ANBUs didn't arrive on time. The high command of the village would wonder in the following days, about the origin and motive of that attack. But Hinata knew. Just as she also assumed that her son Bolt was the one who had intervened to save her sister's life.

-the assassins sent against my daughter, they failed… -Hinata told a sleepy Hanabi that she let herself be carried in her arms without moving- she has returned safely. Nonetheless.

-She is strong…. -the youngest Hyuuga barely smiled- my niece is strong. You have trained her well Onee-san.

-no… -Hinata warned him seriously- it was Bolt-kun who has protected her. For her sister, she is capable of anything. She will never allow herself to be murdered. She will kill whoever she is, will kill everyone.

-your son… he loves you too. –Hanabi whispered to her sleepily- she murdered Kiba Inuzuka for you. She warned me that if something happened to her sister, her mother or father, my clan would pay dearly for it.

There was a moment of silence and reflection. Hinata had a lot to reproach Boruto for for her attitudes. But also, she had no qualms about admitting that she was grateful to him for many of the past things. Without Bolt's intervention, perhaps Naruto would have separated from her. Maybe Hima was dead. Perhaps the Hyuuga clan had brought about a revolution as the Uchiha tried decades ago. Or maybe… they had been exterminated as they were long ago, the sharingan warriors. All those events Boruto had prevented. Still wild and dangerous in his actions.

"He's just a child ..." Hinata assured a little scared by her sister's statement and hers of her own reasoning.

-It's not…. -the Hyuuga leader barely stammered- never again.

She finally fell asleep. Hinata managed to clean her up as best he could, after taking her to the lake and diving in with her. Although they were calm and in no apparent danger, Hanabi's last words filled him with stupor. What the hell had she done to him? How could she bend her to this point? Hanabi looked like a scared rabbit. Even in her words, there was a hint of justification to the brutal actions of her tormentor. What happens next? Was Bolt himself the one who went to rescue his sister? Where were they, both Bolt and Naruto?

Hinata took another hour. Trying to heal the wounds in her sister and shelter her as best as possible. He even woke her up briefly, to help her feed a little when they got back to the cabin. Her fatigue and tension had her very weak. By the time she finished the task of healing her on her sister's body, her Hinata decided to return to Konoha before dark. She was aware that now there was no one to stop Hanabi from escaping her. As she also assumed that the woman would not try to escape again. Hinata detected in Hanabi's chakra channels, many strange punctures that surely originated from the partial pressure techniques of her son. She had to talk to him, she had to stop him. She had to find a way to stop this escalation of damage.

Boruto Uzumaki walked down the hospital corridor in tension. He had just paid a visit to his younger sister in the appropriate room. She would still have to spend a couple of weeks to be discharged. The cretins that Sai-sensei sent to assist Himawari had barely managed to save her. They arrived too late and almost found her dead. If Boruto knew the identity of those morons, he would make them pay for her inefficiency. Just as he wished he had face to face with the cursed Hyuuga who were sent to kill Hima. Fortunately for them, they were already corpse. Or they would suffer a fate worse than death itself.

Bolt's left arm was bandaged. Also a damaged knee and various blows all over the body. He had been taken care of by Sakura, who did everything possible to heal the most serious wounds. They had a deep conversation in the meantime, and they arranged to meet to fix the earrings that referred to Sarada and Sasuke Uchiha.

But in the meantime, the fight with his father, the Hokage, was far from being a friendly fight. They did it with intensity, they did it as two respectable rivals should do. Bolt had no grudge for losing. Because a defeat is not measured by who ends up standing in these types of battles. In short, Bolt had achieved that goal that he was seeking when he incited his father to fight. Losing a fight tactically, to win the general war of the dialectic. This is how that confrontation with the most powerful ninja in the world could be summed up. None other than his father. Uzumaki Naruto.

Boruto was thinking of going to his house, visiting his mother, and then taking charge of going after Hanabi. When a group of individuals led by Shikamaru Nara cut him off abruptly:

-Uzumaki Boruto….

"Councilor Nara ..." replied the young man with request "To what is the honor of his company due?

-Come with me… -the dark man said coldly- we have to talk in private.

The attitude of the men around Bolt left no doubt that it was not an optional request. It was as if he was being arrested. And although the blonde Uzumaki knew that he could file a formal complaint to find out about the charges, Shikamaru knew enough about the law to find a way to make the interrogation he intended legal. So why waste time resisting? Furthermore, Bolt already wanted to find out why Shikamaru had made him follow that Shinobi team all these past days.

30 minutes later, in a low room in the Hokage Tower, Bolt found himself comfortably seated in a room only occupied by two chairs and a table in the center. On it, a white sheet and a pencil. Since he got there, Bolt was alone and silent. 10 minutes without anyone walking through the door to begin the series of questions. What was the counselor trying to do with this questioning?

Finally, Shikamaru Nara entered the place accompanied by Ino Yamanaka. Then Boruto began to understand where the shots would go. It was undoubted that the woman had read a little more from Sakura Uchiha's mind than usual. While unlocking the Genjutsu of Sasuke that the hairy had commented with Bolt, he also learned the exact relationship that that woman had with him. But what did they want to do with that data?

-I know you're smarter than your father… -Shikamaru announced- so I shouldn't tell you what to do from now on. -He held the sheet closer to the area where Bolt had both arms resting on the table- I want a complete list of the Shinobi who worked to clean the evidence of the Kiba Inuzuka case. Also, you will give me the names of the ANBU who helped you rescue your sister.

-And for reason should there be a list of ninjas?

-Because I am sure that the list that you will give me will coincide to a large extent with the Shinobi under suspicion of treason that we are investigating. There are reasons to believe that a secret organization behind the back of the Hokage is operating in this village. And I intend to prevent a new "Root" like the one led by advisor Danzou Shimura from emerging to cause chaos.

Boruto thought carefully. Shikamaru was a smart man. Lies wouldn't help get him out of this bind. There was no doubt that the excessive cleanliness of the Kiba affair made him suspicious. But he, too, hadn't revealed how much he knew of the required information. If he gave her something, anything however small, it would be in a way giving solidity to Shikamaru's suspicion. Therefore, he was not to show any of his diplomatic letters. He had to negotiate alone. Boruto knew that if he was released by some "high command", he would be giving a research tip to his enemies. And the key to "Root" was to keep it totally anonymous. A myth, an unverifiable fact.

"I suppose this is why I have been being chased by a team of ninjas for weeks," Bolt stated calmly, "I thought my father distrusted me again." But it couldn't be - he smiled barely - he's always very sincere. And his promises are kept.

"While you," Ino added, crossed her arms at the side, "you have betrayed him in the worst way." I never imagined you were a fucking pig. I can hardly believe what happened.

The routine of the "bad" and the "good" interrogator began. Anko-sensei had been very instructive in those resources. The key was to increase the pressure from both sides. That the questioned subject breaks down. Let her take shelter with one or the other interrogator. In particular, Bolt would have thought that Ino-sama would be the "good one". Because she looked good, because she was sensual and even motherly if she meant it. While Shikamaru would play a better "bad". Maybe the exchange was to throw him off the track. It didn't really matter. Since none of that worked when the subject had negotiation weapons. Something that both Ino and Shikamaru had no way of knowing beforehand.

"Calling your father won't work, boy ..." Shikamaru told him in the midst of the rain of questions, "believe me, it's the one who least knows about this interrogation."

-And for what reason? Bolt inquired, feigning request, "I have nothing to hide. I have no names, for that imaginary list the counselor wants.

-Maybe you don't know it boy… .- Mosqueada Ino told him- but Sakura took off a Genjutsu installed in her mind, thanks to me. In addition to releasing her, I saw many things in her mind. And you are the main culprit of many of them.

-I had no idea that my privacy was a matter of state. –Boruto pointed out calmly not getting carried away easily- I suppose they intend to take one out of me…. confession? Okay, I admit it. I have a secret relationship with a married woman. I did not know that this would be of such interest to people like you. Anything else?

"Just this ..." Shikamaru pressed while Ino didn't know what else to say because of Bolt's lightness, "you raped your father's best friend." Besides being your girlfriend's mother. You can be charged for just that, and spend the rest of your life in prison.

-ex girlfriend…

-Girlfriend or ex-girlfriend doesn't matter. -Continued the Nara who felt his opportunity to obtain data on the clandestine organization was escaping- you raped a woman and you will be criminally charged for it.

-And surely you have ... evidence? Bolt smiled barely, "or are they just going door to door accusing people for no reason?" Has Mrs. Uchiha, has she filed a formal accusation?

-We don't need more than reading your mind to find evidence. –Announced the satisfied Nara- there we will find what we need. Who knows? Maybe even the memory of when you murdered Kiba can be found.

-the perfect excuse to find what really interests them. Certain? –Said the Uzumaki- although for this they need an order signed by the Hokage. I mean, to authorize a mental extraction. Or is it that no one respects the laws these days?

-The damn is good ... - thought Shikamaru -we made almost no progress.

He knew the best of the law and did not allow himself to be pressured. They had been circling him dialectically for almost two hours. And he always seemed cool. Boruto seemed to be saving too much. And although he looked remarkably tired, he did not falter in attitude.

-Are you willing to open the game to your father? –Said Ino- because I assure you that it will not be nice to know about Sakura.

-Are you willing to continue to the end? Bolt consulted smiling, because I also have a lot to tell about intimacies. Do you think you are the only ones who can play this game?

-DO YOU THREAT US, IDIOT-BOY ?! Ino snorted furiously, "YOU'RE GIVING ME TOO MUCH. AND I CAN TURN YOUR BRAIN INTO HOT BUTTER. YOU BETTER TALK NOW.

Shikamaru looked at his partner in surprise at him. She had lost her patience first. She had lost the game and she could be even worse if she did not control herself. According to Shikamaru, it was foolish to miss the opportunity to explore that underground group's terrain. The Nara assumed that Boruto was part of them, and he needed more names to catch them all. Who was in charge? Anyone on the clan council? Any ex-Hokage? How did they communicate? How could Bolt cross half the country to rescue his sister? How did he manage to assassinate Kiba and clean up all the evidence?

-ohh…. Ino-sama… -said Boruto with a soft voice looking at her seductively- surely Uncle Sai must enjoy this aggressive side of hers very much, privately. Do you like to be in charge? Does it make you feel powerful? I have no problem with it. I think that the powerful woman, she is undoubtedly very sexy.

Ino was trying to regain professionalism, but it was difficult. Her temper was on the surface when she saw that blond jerk, gloating over having raped her friend. It was true that she Ino had observed the evident surrender and pleasure that followed the rape. Sakura had become Boruto's lover of her own free will. But the beginning, she was making a lot of noise. What else was that young man capable of? She had to stop him somehow. She couldn't be free. According to Shikamaru she had killed Kiba. And now he too would be free to rape Sakura. It couldn't happen. Even if he was Naruto's son, even if he broke the Hokage's heart, his son was a criminal and he had to pay. But how?

Everyone fell silent. Bolt knew he was about to get away with it. When Shikamaru's final words surprised and worried him:

-Good, -said the Nara standing up and pretending to leave- I suppose that he will have to question your mother. You should know that he has just arrived in Konoha, with the leader Hanabi Hyuuga in her arms. Apparently he suffered some kind of seizure. We will have to ask Hinata-sama about these names that you refuse to give. Sure she, she will have more to say than you.

What was Hanabi doing in Konoha? How could her mother betray him? Bolt for the first time was paralyzed. Was it true? Had Hinata sold it just like Hanabi had said? It was a crucial moment. A moment in which everything worked, could fall like a sand castle. It was time to play that dangerous game. The one that only the best members triumph ...

From a land of traitors.
