As soon as his feet touched the ground, he sprinted towards her with such inhumane speed that she didn't get the time to react.
The man was suddenly behind her. He hit the back of her neck and she fell unconscious. Before she could fall to the ground, he grabbed her.
The icicles fell down, and the winds calmed.
He gently placed her down on her ground and took off his coat to cover her body with it.
"If the winds continued to blow that way, then the kingdom would have been destroyed." He said, looking at her.
He saw a tear escape her eye and wiped it away with his hand.
'You've been hurt before.' he thought, looking at her
Cyrus looked at her and sighed. He knew he couldn't just leave here because if he did, then someone would definitely try to take advantage of her again. He slid his sword back into its sheath and secured his coat around her body. With his coat firmly wrapped around her body, he carried her and walked away.
…
Snow slowly regained her consciousness. She slowly opened her eyes and found herself in an unfamiliar room. She looked around and saw that the room had some furniture and some paintings on the wall. There was a softball of light hovering in the corner of the room emitting soft light inside the room.
She got up and looked down at her body. She was dressed in a light blue dress. She moved her hand when she heard the clings of metal hitting metal and felt something against her wrist.
She looked at her hand and saw with wide eyes that her hand was chained to the bed frame. She tried to free herself from it, but she could.
"HELP!" she yelled and desperately tried to get the chain off her hand.
She heard the door open and saw the man with bright red hair she saw in the forest come inside. He had a boorish expression on his face, but his eyes looked at her with caution.
"It's you! What do you want with me?" she asked him with hatred in her voice.
"I had to knock you unconscious because you were using a lot of magical powers that could've killed everyone in a very large area. Also, I couldn't leave you there in the woods, so I brought you to my house. I don't have any ill intentions against you." he told her.
"Oh, really?" she asked him sarcastically and raised her hand to show the hand that was chained to the bed. "Then why am I chained up?"
"Because I didn't want you to blow away my house." he told her and added. "Also, I don't know who you are, so I can't trust you either."
She looked at him for a few seconds.
"Fair enough. Did you dress me?" she asked him.
"I asked one of the maids to dress you." he told her. "I would like you to answer some of my questions before I answer any of your further questions."
"Can you unchain me first?" she asked him.
"After I know you won't be a threat to me." he told her.
She let out a sigh in annoyance.
"Fine." she told him.
He grabbed a chair from the corner of the room and dragged it in front of the bed. He sat down, leaned back, crossed his arms and legs, and looked at her.
"What were you doing in the woods alone and naked?" he asked her.
She shook her head, remembering the things she went through before she somehow was in the woods.
"I don't know." She told him, looking at her hands.
"I just remember that I was getting beaten and… raped. I thought I was going to die because I had no strength left in my body. Then I feel really, really cold and when I opened my eyes I was… there in the forest." She told him and looked at him. "That's all I know." she told him.
"I'm sorry that you had to go through that." he told her.
She stayed silent.
"Guessing from your wings and your appearance, you must be a fairy. An ice fairy to be exact." he told her.
She looked at him like he lost his mind.
"What wi-" she looked back to see what he was talking about but she stopped and looked in shock when she saw a pair of wings behind her back.
She blinked and slowly moved her hands to touch it. As soon as her fingers touched it, she didn't know how, but she could feel her touching her wings.
She let out a breath of disbelief.
Cyrus observed everything she did closely.
"Judging by your expression, you didn't know." he told her and frowned a little. "But how is it that you didn't know?"
She looked at him with surprise and made some theories.
"Where am i?" she asked him.
"In my house." he told her.
"No, where in the world are we?" she asked him again.
"Emerald Fort kingdom. Perseverance city." he told her.
"Kingdom? Nevermind. Do you have a phone?" she asked him.
He frowned in confusion.
"What is a phone?" he asked her.
"It's…" she didn't want to waste time in explaining things to her. "Can you take me out so I can see what it looks like outside?" she asked him.
He looked at her silently. He still hadn't decided if he should trust her.
"Okay." she said, seeing him silent. "Am I dead?"
"You're very much alive." he told her in an amused tone.
She looked around the room and saw a window nearby. She looked at him and pointed at the window.
"May I?" she asked him.
He nodded once.
She got off the bed and walked to the window. Good thing for her was that the chain was long enough for her to move around the room with ease.
Snow looked out the window and the first thing she was was a field of flowers growing nearby. They looked beautiful and refreshing. She saw worker working on the farms in medieval clothing, which gave evidence that her suspicion was right.
She looked back at Cyrus.
"Is there a King and Queen who rules the kingdom?" she asked him.
"Obviously. You're not from around here, are you?" he asked her.
"No. I… think I… got reincarnated after I died in my previous world." She told him when all her suspicions were confirmed.
