Jake banged on the door several times demanding to be released. After a while, he gave up and slumped himself on the ground carrying his head in his hands. What could he do now? He couldn't miss the rank change. He had prepared so much for this day, had sleepless nights, and endured many hours of training... Had it all come to nothing? All of his hard work? He balled his hands into fists and hit them against the locker. But a light ray distracted him. Wait, Light Ray? He turned and spotted a small window. Could he maybe squeeze out of the window? He looked around for something to give him more access to the window. He grabbed a box and stood on it opening the window. And.... just his luck. The window was surrounded by Spiked Blackthorns. How could the school let something like this remain in plain sight? Well, he didn't have a choice. It was either wallowing in the gym room till the boys came to release him (Which they wouldn't because they would have forgotten) or risking the cuts and rashes to see the change in his rank. (Mind you, he's been waiting 2 years for this. I don't see another better option)
Jake made up his mind by climbing out the window. The thorns cut the skin on his face and his arms cut through his shirt as well. He made it out though. He ran towards the school hall. But, Jake's luck isn't perfect as we all know by now. He tripped and nearly fell, but his white Jordans took the fall. Jake gritted his teeth as we sloshed towards the hall.
