Though the cannons were not used anymore, Elvin still witnessed loss of Soldiers as long and sturdy arrows of the Sayariks penetrated the bosoms of the Riariks. The recess of the battle was accounted at the next two hours but Elvin doubted if they could sustain themselves for so long. They needed more soldiers, they must add up supporting force to complete the day's war quota. But where were they?
They were guarding the former land of the Riariks. Elvin thought to himself: The speed of the arrows and many other weapons of the Sayariks could never be handled by this force. The other soldiers would also take much time to march to the battle field. The best thought that came to Elvin's mind on that moment was to surrender. Still the fear of rejection distracted him from his main thought. "Who could understand the ideology of a man like Chris?", he thought.
Alfakis was one of the sword men, who, was standing on the battle field without former training. The Riariks had six thousand soldiers on the battle field including all forces, but amongst them, only 400 survived by now.
Chris was irresolute yet with enough hesitation inside his heart, he ordered the sword men to move further. Something which was quite visible happened, those four hundred soldiers declined to forty. Alfakis himself killed ten soldiers. And gradually the only who were left was Elvin and his ministers.
Chris ordered all his forces to step back and himself descended towards the opposition. He was unarmed as he believed that being armed in front of an unarmed and weak person proves that he is showing off. Though he was defenseless, but he was not confident enough with the purity of the hearts of Riariks; in a word, he was approaching Elvin with no assurance of his life.
