Rᴇʙᴇᴋᴀʜ'ᴤ ᴘᴏɪɴᴛ ᴏғ ᴠɪᴇᴡ:

"Ladies and gentlemen please welcomes to show, Rebekah Stevenson." I grab a plain white top out of the cupboard and walk to the long mirror on the wall opposite my dark brown, wooden dressing table.

"Thank you so much for having me here. The pleasure is ours, having the new soul singer member with us. So, how do you feel after winning the audition? Well to be honest, I am over the moon." I hold the top close to my chest dreamily." I am beyond happy. I have always adored the soul singers, it's always been my dream to be on stage; performing and now I'm actually going to perform with my favourite artists."

Bang bang bang! I starter at the knocking sound on my door and snap out of my fantasies.

"Yeah," I put on the top as quickly as I can.

"Are you done?" Mom shouts, "time is going,"

"Yeah, almost."

"Okay."

Footstep sounds move further and further.

"Oh man," I mumble and hurry to the dressing table. Well, let's just say I got a little carried away with my daily routine of imagination.

I loosen my messy pigtails as quickly as I can, comb it, then I part my dark brown hair in the middle and leave it loose.

I hurry up from the chair; grab my bag on my single bed and head downstairs. On the way I meet, Twinkle walking up.

"Oh hey, Twinkle."

He turns and runs down with me.

"Don't forget to buy me some of those fish biscuits today, Rebekah, It goes well with my milk."

"Okay Twinkle, I won't. Go on now before mom hears us speaking."

"Why? The psychologist saw nothing wrong with you,"

Twinkle is my cat, his name is kind of a long story. At first he hated it, it sounded too "girly", but he learnt to like it. And yes, I can speak to animals, my mom used to know about it but she thought there was something wrong with me, so she took me to the psychologist. They asked questions, did tests, and gave me some medication—it never worked. I pretended that I stop talking to them, but I actually still do.

"Shh…"

I slow down as I arrive at the kitchen entrance and he runs on to the chair at the dining table. My Mom pours a mixture into the pan, with her blonde, thin hair tied up into a ponytail. Twinkle licks his white and black fur.

"Morning." I pull a chair out.

Lifting and dropping plates in search of something, she responds, "Morning."

I was born in a mixed race family, my Mom is "white" and my dad was "black". It wasn't easy growing up in a world where people are defined by their colour.

I put my bag down next to my chair and sit.

Mom does her best to make sure I have almost everything I need. She doesn't have a cape or superpowers, but she is my super Mom. She managed to raise me and my sister all by herself after dad passed away in a plane accident, then later my little sister followed, she just got sick another day, went to sleep, and never woke up. I don't actually remember how they looked, I only see them on the pictures on the wall.

"Are you ready for school?"

"Yeah, I wouldn't miss it for the world" I giggle

"With the way you love school, I don't think I should be worried about your results," she grabs a plate of pancakes on the kitchen counter.

"Nope."

I'm the only person Mom has, and she's the only person that I have, that's why I work hard so that I can take care of her one day, spoil her and just…make her proud.

I carefully grab the plate from her hands . "Thank you." I place my plate of pancakes on the table in front of me. I can already taste the sweetness of this irresistible smell.

"Here's one for you Twinkle." She places a small plate on the floor with a piece of pancake.

"Thanks Mom." He jumps off the chair and runs to the plate. It sounded more like, meow.

I can feel a sense of satisfaction on my tongue as I chew this last piece of this deliciousness.

"Not even a small piece left," my mom giggles

"You know I love pancakes." I get up with my plate in my hands heading to the sink.

"You can say that again." Twinkle licks his mouth with his tongue.

"And that's why I always make them," she says, as I place the plate in the sink.

"And that's why I love you," I turn to her

"Oh, so you love me because I make you pancakes?"

I laugh

"No." I shake my head with a grin on my face.

She smiles, "I'm just messing with you."

I walk to the dinner table and grab my bag, as she finishes off the last piece of pancake on her plate.

"I can drop you if you want." she gets up.

"No, I'll be fine."

She smiles, "Okay then."

I walk closer and hug her, "I'll see you later,"

"Be safe,"

I let her go, "I will."

Thankfully I don't live that far from my school so walking isn't much of a problem, and besides, I want to save money.

Rᴇʙᴇᴋᴀʜ'ᴤ ᴘᴏɪɴᴛ ᴏғ ᴠɪᴇᴡ:

When I get to school my friends are already waiting for me, Sera and Micah. We've been friends since last year, It's our second year at Riverview University. What a coincidence that we're all studying psychology. I must say, Sera looks breath taking, as always.

"Morning," I greet each of them with a quick hug

"Morning, Bex," Micah says

"Oh, my goodness," I admire Sera before hugging her. "You look stunning."

"Thank you…" she cutely poses for us in her white; cut out shoulder top tucked in a brown leather skirt with a small slit and finished off with white lace-up ankle boots.

We are to the bench area after general psychology class.

"Rebekah, are you okay?" Alina asks as we walk to the bench area after general psychology class.

"Yeah...I'm just thinking about this strange dream I had night," I say

"What dream?" Sera inquires

"Its…weird, there's this dark, damaged castle and statues of people scattered everywhere, the place looks so real but too…not normal to be true, it doesn't look like any place on earth, at least I don't think so," I explain. Sera and Micah look at each other strangely before looking back at me.

"That's…strange…" Sera says

"Yeah,"

"Maybe...it's just a creation of your imagination," Micah contributes

"Maybe, I shouldn't bother myself, dreams are just dreams," I smile

"Ye…p, I guess," Micah says.

Rᴇᴤᴇᴅᴀ'ᴤ ᴘᴏɪɴᴛ ᴏғ ᴠɪᴇᴡ:

Teva and I are the only female guardians left here in Elphia. Cari and Alina are in the human world to help boost Harmony's power. By being close to her, they can share little bits of their energy to Harmony so that when the time is right, she can be able to teleport back here. I wish they could just share the energy all at once, but they can't...Harmony's body might not be able to handle it.

Ever since the headmistress sent Cari and Alina, everyone has just been busy training. Teva and I are fighting against each other for practice, while Mrs Harvil watches. Once Harmony comes back, Mrs. Harvil will be focused on training Harmony, this is our only time.

"Okay girls, time for your break. You did well," says Mrs. Harvil.

"I feel like ice cream," I say.

"Me too," Heala adds. Teva and I laugh.

"I thought you only ate energy," Teva says

Rᴇʙᴇᴋᴀʜ'ᴤ ᴘᴏɪɴᴛ ᴏғ ᴠɪᴇᴡ:

It's Finally after school.

"That wasn't so bad," I say

"yeah, I knew almost all of the answers. It's Just that last question that knocked me out," Sera says

"The one that asked, what is hedonism?

"Yeah," Sera says

"It is the pursuit of pleasure above all else. A hedonist does not care for laws or relationships unless they help them pursue their desired. I think there was more, I don't know" I shrug my shoulders

"Oh man. Well at least I got the others right," Sera says, and Micah chuckles.

"I better get going," Micah says

"Oh, okay then," I say

"Hey, I think my mom can drop you off. I'm going to my cousin's house today," Cari offers.

"Really? That would be great."

"I'll see you guys tomorrow then," Micah says.

"See you tomorrow, Mimi," Sera says as Micah gives each of us a hug.

"Be safe," I tell her as she hugs me last.

"I will," Micah smiles and walks away to the right.

After a few minutes, Sera's mom Arrives and we both walk to the car.

"Hey mom, you got my message, right?" She asks as she gets in the back.

"Yes,"

"Hello Mrs.Davis," I greet as I get in the back behind her mom.

"Hello my dear, are you good?" She asks

"I'm fine and you?"

"I am great. Are you guys in?" She asks

"Yes." we both nod and she starts driving

***

"Thank you," I say as I get out of the car

"See you tomorrow, Bex" Sera says

"Greet your mom for me," Mrs Davis says

" I will," I smile as I close the door and move away

"Tell Emily I said hi," I say

"Don't worry, you will meet her soon," Sera says. I smile and wave at them as they drive away; Sera waves back.

I walk to my house, unlock the door and enter. My mom only comes home at 5pm, sometimes later than that.

"Man, I'm so tired," I say as I drag myself in. "and hungry," I walk down to the fridge and drop my bag on the dining table before walking to open the fridge. There's nothing interesting to make. I roll my eyes and close it.

I guess just have to make some noodles; it's the only thing that wouldn't take long to make other than a sandwich, of which I don't want a sandwich, and I don't wish to start cooking right now.

I walk to the cupboards, but before I can even open the cupboard, I start to feel like my head is spinning and everything just becomes blurry, I lean my hand on the kitchen counter and the other I rub my eyes.

I sit myself down leaning my back against the cupboards while holding my head in pain. That's when a bright light pops up in my eyes, and I start to see the same castle in the light and shadows of two people and a small child standing close to a large fountain—but the shadows are not moving. suddenly, it all just disappears and everything is back to normal.

What just happened? Who were those people in there? And...that castle…

While I am still in my thoughts, the door opens and my heart beats faster. After what just happened, I can only think of the worst.

I slowly tiptoe towards the door to check who It is, I gasp when I see the person, but luckily, it is just my mom. I place my hand on my chest.

I make my way towards her and she notices how afraid I am as she slowly closes the door, with her eyes fixed on me. She walks to me right away with suspicion

"Why do you look like you just saw a ghost?" she asks

"I- I was watching some um…horror movies last night" I nervously answer while scratching the back of my head.

I cannot tell her about my dreams or what just happened, she'd probably think I'm going crazy, I don't want her worrying about me having a mental illness or something…why is she home early though? Did they fire her?

"Oh,"

"Well your home early today," I try to act normal

"There wasn't much work at the clinic" she says and continues looking at me like she is trying to read my mind.

I have to cut the silence.

"So?...what are we having for dinner?" I smile putting my hands behind my back.

"Maybe you should choose what we must have for dinner tonight," she smiles as she walks past me and heads down to her room. I follow.

"Well...I saw a macaroni recipe on social media, I joined this group where people share recipes," I take my phone out

"Really?" She ask

"Yes, here." I bring the phone in front of her. " You know I love learning how to cook different types foods."

"Oh…that looks appetizing," she grabs the phone in her right hand.

"So?...can we?" I put on a silly smile

"Yes of course, it's been weeks since we had macaroni," she responds

"Yes!" I say with an excited tone

"First, you have to go to your singing classes, but be home on time to help with the cooking,"

"Okay " I nod, "I'll be back then" I begin to walk away

"Aren't you going to change the clothes?" she asks and I turn around

"No, this is fine" I say

"Okay, be safe!" She says

"I will!" I continue to the door.

I'm walking down this less occupied sidewalk, with partly build houses and few cars going back and Fourth. My stomach starts rumbling, and the man going past me hears and looks. I awkwardly smile.

"I should've eaten first." I cry
