Lucid is our main character in this novel. Lucid has had a tough life living with mental Illness for the majority of his adulthood. Lucid has used every variety of drugs to curb his mania and uses a learned technique of self medication without the supervision of a trained medical professional. One day Lucid wakes up and doesn't remember how he got to where he was. With a strange Man now talking to Lucid he continues to inform Lucid that he has been with him haunting him since childhood. Finally revealing himself to Lucid he explains that he will have super human powers and be able to shift between parallel universes as just some of the many gifts he will have from finally having a fractured mind allowing this entity to cohabitate his mind.
