Receiving the shock of his life Parth was violently shaken awake from the small amount of sleep that he had. His sloppy eyes were now wide open as they were scanning looking for anything suspicious.
[A/N: red...]
However to his surprise everything seemed rather normal, no...it felt too normal. Thinking it must have been a dream or a hallucination, he closed his eyes once more hoping to get some rest. Unsurprisingly the moment he did so, the violent shaking began once more.
"Shit...an earthquake? uhh no 'mirronquake' ? "
His thoughts were disrupted when the intensity of the shaking around him amplified forming a pulse like rhythm. Soon Parth realized that it was only the tree that he stood on that was dancing in a frenzy, not his surroundings. He took a look down towards the roots of the tree to see what the hell was going on, that was a decision he lived to regret.
Just meters below stood a large and hideous ant like creature gnawing on his temporary house.
"Wha...what in the hell am I looking at? What is that thing? " Parth said in both fear and disgust, he instinctively knew that this monster was just as strong as it was ugly.
'Oy-oy, is this creature some kind of over grown ant or something. I thought she said this was supposed to be a fantasy world. No matter how you look at it, this thing is definitely a monster straight out of a horror movie. It's absolutely hideo...'
[A/N: Imagine a zombified giant ant.]
Losing his balance on the tree top, left him unable to even stand straight leave think straight. Things were getting chaotic on the ground now as the tree he was currently on kept shaking more unstably followed by a detestable screech from below.
Getting his thought in order, Parth knew that he did not have the luxury to just stand there idly and twiddle his thumbs. He needed to escape...fast!
Unfortunately for him, standing on top of a 6m tall and withered tree did not give him any advantage, it only made his heart shake as any escape strategy would be rendered pointless.
For a small instance, there was fear in his emerald eyes.
'I need to calm down, I did not come here just to die the very next morning. ' Parth said as he locked eyes with the creature below him. 'That's right, this is how its supposed to be. '
After a small breathing exercise, Parth broke off 2 of the sharpest branches he could see and held it as if they were 2 wooden spears. He obviously knew that no matter how sharp they were, a couple of tree branches could never even dent its tough looking shell like skin, especially with his puny stats.
Nevertheless, with adrenaline pumping in his veins and is will to live burning passionately like an everlasting flame, he leaped straight towards his adversary.
With their eyes meeting once more, Parth could practically sense that his opponent was looking at him as if he was nothing more than a passing snack, he was being heavily underestimated.
Using this fact to his advantage, Parth did not move out of trajectory and kept moving straight for the oversized ant, until he decided that he was close enough.
Using all the strength he could master, he stabbed both of it's eye-sockets with his dagger-like branches that he wielded.
Still moving downwards, he held on to the 2 branches allowing the momentum from his leap to carry him forward, pulling out the branches that was skewered in the creature's eyes.
The hideous monster whelped out in both pain and anger as both blood and pus came out of its eye-sockets which now covered it's face. This made the gruesome monster seem even more horrendous than before.
Turning around to face his foe, Parth almost puked just looking at the over explicit and downright disgusting sight that was now facing him, however his survival instincts did not allow it.
Of course when Parth had attacked the beast earlier, he did so without a plan and now he was in mortal danger as in front of him stood an injured beast.
Even without it's eyesight, the huge ant knew exactly where Parth was due to it's keen sense of smell. It charged at him with it's speed not paying respect to it's size, quickly impaling his right leg with it's sharp claw like beak. Parth stood no chance!
"Ahhh"
Parth screamed out in horrifying pain as he saw his right leg detached from his lower torso lying only a few centimeters from the rest of his body.
