Winifred found it hard to wake up, it was as if she had to fight to get her eyes open, and even after that she struggled to get out of the couch she had spent her night on. After the altercation between she and Arthur the previous night, the man had simply stormed out of the room. She didn't have enough courage to sleep on his bed as she kept thinking that he would come back and seeing her on his bed might send him the wrong signal or simply annoy him further. But seeing that she had woken up and he was still nowhere in the room, she got on his bed and pulled the covers on her, submerging even her head underneath.
Not wanting to think about her life or anything that has to do with it, she decided to sleep for some more time when she heard someone enter the room. She hoped so much that it wasn't Arthur and as if wanting to clear her doubts, she pulled down the cover to see the same lady from the previous night entering the room.
