Chapter 3 - Spell of Craziness.

"Are you trying to make a fool out of me, huh?" Winifred snapped as she dragged the girl to get off the ground.

"Please, my lady. I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. That wasn't my intention." The girl pleaded, while also wondering what had gotten into her loving and caring mistress.

"GET OFF THE FLOOR! Stop begging and stop calling me that! Now, I'm going to ask you some questions which I hope you would have instant answers to. Who are you? Why am I here? Who brought me here? What is going on here and lastly what year are we in? I hope you don't try to be funny this time cos I swear, I don't know what I'd do to you!" Winifred said, acting brave even though she was totally frightened herself.

The girl shivered as she didn't know which question to answer first but just went ahead anyway, "I... I am Aquila. I'm... your... your...uh... sla... servant. This... is your room. I... I... brought you here when you fainted suddenly in the woods. I... I... We are in... the 1700s." She concluded and quickly ran out of the room thinking her mistress was going to go bonkers yet again but Winifred only collapsed unto the floor, her ball gown creating a softness underneath her.

"This has got to be a dream. This can't be real? Its... its... a prank. A... a joke. No... no... no. It can't be true, this can't be real. I am Winifred Jones, I was born in 2004, I have a younger sister who is 15 years old. I go to Nobel Private school, I... have a bestfriend who's name is Ella. We live in New York, I got a Porsche for my sixteenth birthday last two years. I found out that my dad is actually not my dad and my mum has always been a cheat. I was humiliated at the school party and then I beat up Chloe, stormed out and stood by the sidewalks on the road. What... what.. happened next, how did I get here?" She repeated facts she knew all her life about herself, trying to remember what happened while she stood by the roadside and then as if on impulse, she suddenly touched her face. She looked around the room and saw a blurry mirror on the wall, she then got off her feet and rushed towards it in panic, touching and rubbing her face frantically.

Her hair was slight blonde color, the color of a sunbeam as it passes through a window. It was also very lengthy reaching down to the middle of her torso, so long in fact that it almost caresses the small of her back. Her bestfriend used to say whenever she touched the hair, it felt as though one is touching some of the finest silken fabric ever woven. Soft, and almost liquid like, it seemed to flow over the fingers like water.

Her face was demanding of attention with its high cheekbones calling every eyes to the statuesque bone structure underlying its gentleness. She had been graced with a look that could be that of royalty. Her tight, rose colored lips were plump with the slight hint of moisture on the lips making them glisten in the reflection of light thus causing them to look as though they are really a reflection on the waters of a pond and not really a part of her at all. Her emerald green eyes always seemed like it was piercing one's very soul as the different shades of green streaks in her eyes appear to be alive just like fire when it moves and flickers. She was a beauty and that was what made people dote on her wherever she went.

"Well, at least, I still got my face, it would be a total depression if I lost everything in this stupid dream I'm in. I hope it's over soon." She mumbled in slight relief as she walked back to the bed. Suddenly seeing both an old man and the girl who called herself Aquila standing and watching her almost made her pee herself.

"What did you guys see in the woods? Are you sure a witch didn't cast some spells on her?" The old man questioned Aquila as she shook her head.

"At this point, I'm not sure. Maybe she saw a werewolf and that's what is getting her riled up or maybe a vampire saw us and cast a spell of craziness and forgetfulness on her just so she doesn't speak of their existence." Aquila whispered back to the man.

"Are you sure you aren't exaggerating anything? Asides from saying some weird things to herself just now, I have not witnessed any other barbaric act."

"Master, she said we are in 2022 and told me to stop calling her my lady. She also rough handled me. That doesn't seem like the mistress I have known all my life, something is wrong with her and we need to take it very serious."

"Can you people just stop whispering like I can't hear what you're saying already? You act like I'm not in the room with you or something. Who are you deceiving? Definitely not me but yourselves." Winifred snapped.

"Okay! You are right,, that's definitely not my daughter. Go and get the healer, she needs to be diagnosed." The man instructed as Aquila ran out of the room to carry out the instructions given.

"Hold up? Your daughter? I'm a Jones, old man, my father is definitely not you. I'm grown enough to know who my father is and by the time he finds me here, wherever this place is, you'll regret the day you were born. Whatever this is, whatever trance or science shit you pulled to kidnap me will be revealed and you'll rot in jail."

The man just stared at Winifred in disbelief because the daughter he knew would never even speak in any other tone than a soft one to anyone.

"Head priest! Head priest!" A masculine voice called out as he rushed into the building in panic, causing the hairs on Winifred's body to rise.

"Yes, Samuel. What is it?" The man questioned.

"Head priest, another beast has been caught. It's a werewolf this time."
