"I am very pleased with you, parrot." Cyrus smiled as he removed his coat and tossed it on the bed.
Sage sat on the bed with her head bowed, lost in thought. She couldn't get over the fact that Darren was a halfling and imagined Katherine's terrifying encounter with the Statkus mages.
She swallowed and raked her fingers through her hair. "This cannot be happening." She grumbled in frustration.
"Thinking about it isn't going to solve the problems on ground." Cyrus said, jolting her out of her reverie, and she looked at him, seeing him fold his shirt sleeves.
"I am glad you are aware of the problems on ground." Cyrus smiled as Sage feigned a smile and rolled her eyes.
"We both have major problems, but yours will almost certainly be resolved sooner than mine." Cyrus said with a smile as he walked over to the table where Sage's books were kept.
Sage's brow furrowed in perplexity at his statement. "How come you say that?" She inquired.
