Chapter 9 - Dark lines

"Do I have to tell you everything?" Aziel used his index finger to poke her head, "Undress me..."

"What?"

Lily gulped. Was this the moment when he finally forcefully sleeps with her? Was she about to be a sex slave? These thoughts made her take a fearful step back.

"I told you I hate repeating myself...seems you wish to learn the hard way," Aziel didn't turn back so Lily didn't see the gleeful smirk that laced Aziel's lips. He was enjoying this.

"I'm sorry my Lord, but I'm not ready for what you want me to do," Lily managed to grit out. Her eyes shone with disgust. She couldn't believe this man wanted to sleep with her.

"What are you thinking, my dear flower," Aziel abruptly turned back, causing lily to stumble backward, but she quickly stabled her footing.

Aziel chuckled before he added, "Do you think I want to have sex with you?" He clicked his tongue and allowed his eyes to roam her body before adding, "You're petite, I don't think you could pass for a woman with such small breasts, your backside is as small as that of a newborn..."

"I get it now, can you please stop my Lord," Lily asked in a hushed tone but Aziel was nowhere near done.

"No. With you always thinking I want to sleep with you, I need to make this clear..." Said Aziel as he walked towards her and suddenly grabbed her by the waist.

"You have such a tiny waist... I like my women endowed. Your looks are below average... You're not my type." Lily glared straight into Aziel's eyes. Her facade was severely hanging in a thin thread.

A cocky smile spread out on Aziel's lips, and he let go of Lily's waist. He wondered how much longer she would keep her facade.

He walked back to the window and ordered once more "undress me."

Without a word, Lily went in front of him and began to unbutton his clothes. Aziel quietly observed her as her delicate fingers moved around his clothes.

She had finished with all his silk linens and was left with his trousers and his undershirt. Lily looked up at Aziel to be sure if he wanted her to really remove his last piece of shirt.

It was a light transparent linen and Lily could already make out how sculpted his body was. Aside from how great his physique was, Lily also made out the black lines that seemed to spread out spider webs all through his body.

'It can't be...' she tried to think it was an illusion.

"What are you waiting for?" Aziel spoke on seeing her hesitation, "Undress me."

Lily cleaned her sweaty palms on her palms and proceeded to unbutton his undershirt. Her hand became shakier with each button she undid.

When she was done with the buttons she glided the shirt through his shoulders and fearfully took a step back.

Those lines...it wasn't an illusion. It was really there.

She quickly moved behind him, and she was stunned at the sight of his bare back.

Dark black lines spread through his back like an endless web of spiders. The sight of them was an eyesore but captivating as well.

Lily didn't have time to think of the captivating part, the main issue was that this is the one thing that was attributed to the cursed prince.

From the day he was cursed, dark root-like lines spread around his back and threatened to cover the rest of his body. They sprout and grow longer whenever he kills on a full moon night. He has to be locked up in his room in the dungeon with several prisoners due to his unquenchable thirst for blood.

After he was done with each kill, like a beast he will scream due to the lines etching on the skin and making their way around his body. He has dealt with such agonizing pain for over 350 years.

Lily tried to control her breathing, but she just couldn't. Fear consumed her, and it showed clearly on her face.

Aziel turned towards her and stared unemotionally, gauging her reaction. Those wavering eyes, rapid breaths, heavy rise and fall of her chest, fidgeting with her fingers, her legs that seemed to take her far away from this room, from him...every of her single movement did not go past him.

"Don't come," Lily screamed when Aziel attempted to make a move.

"What? You scared, huh?" Aziel smirked but deep down he was fuming. He didn't know why but this reaction from Lily just pissed him off.

"You are the cursed prince?" Lily was still in denial.

"I'm sure you did your findings. Yes, I'm the cursed prince," Aziel confirmed.

With a gasp, Lily plummeted to the floor. Beads of sweat decorated her forehead and he hair stuck to her face in lumps. Her head banged like crazy, and she found it hard to breathe soon the world began to spin.

The last thing she remembered was Aziel's annoyed face before all consciousness left her.

The next time she opened her eyes, she was laying on the bed comfortably under a soft thick duvet. Her memories unlocked the event of last night, and she abruptly sat up.

She looked around and saw no one was in sight.

'Great' she thought and quickly got up from the bed. Today, she would escape this castle. There was no way she'd stay close to the devil himself all for revenge. Besides, what's revenge without living to fulfill it.

With those thoughts, she quickly got out of the room with the intention to escape. First and foremost, she needs to find Simon. He was the only one she could rely on at this moment.

It was early in the morning, probably 6 am. She didn't bother to check the time but with the color of the weather, she could deduce that much.

Simon was working as a guard in the second quarter. That was the quarters of princess Elena.

Now the problem was, she had no idea where the second quarter was, or maybe she will now.

"My lady," Lily smiled widely when she saw Elena downstairs going towards the kitchen. She quickly ran downstairs and went to meet her.

Elena smiled warmly and said, "I've told you to address me as Elena, haven't I?"

"You're the princess of this kingdom, how could I possibly not put respect to your existence." Elena shook her head at Lily's stubbornness and resolved to let her do whatever pleases her for now.

"Can I help you with anything?" Elena asked.

Lily bit her teeth in embarrassment, "It's that time of the month and I don't have any cotton to help hold the blood," she lied.

"Oh, let me call one of the maids to help get you some cotton," Elena said with a smile.

"No no no..." Lily laughed nervously, "I also want to have a serious discussion with you. Do you think we can talk on the way to your quarters?"

Elena found it sketchy, but she didn't refuse either. "Alright then," she said and led the way to her quarters.

Lily sighed in relief and followed closely behind Elena. She would think about other things when she successfully escapes. Like how to continue her revenge.
