Esme stared weakly at Miguel, her hands reached out to meet his face.
" Is this really you?" she asked once more. She thought she must have finally gone crazy and was now seeing a ghost.
He pulled her into a tight hug, before lifting her up from the hard ground. Making sure to place his mask back on his face then he carried her out. They exited the dungeon. While the main palace seemed to be in disarray.
The other crew members were informed to retreat. The guards lost track of the runaway fiend and they found out that the vault had been raided and the doors were left wide open and some national treasures stolen.
Esme could feel the fresh wind air on the tip of her nose. She happened to be straddled on his back while they made their escape.
