My eyes fluttered open and I was met with the cries of children stirring me fully awake from my drowsy slumber. Then it hit me.
THE CHILDREN
I jolted up crashing my head hard on what seemed to be the ceiling above. However, looking closer it wasn't some ceiling, it was a metal bar over my head, and then I realized I was locked in a cage. My hands latched on to the bar panicked and wondering how I got in here but I was repelled instantly by the sizzling burn on my wrist. I gritted my teeth in pain from the slow burn. It was coated in silver. Where we attacked?, if we were I'm sure I would have responded.
"Slyvia! Children!" I bellowed loudly trying to see if I could spot them in any of the other cells. It was a room probably inside a cellar judging from the design of the wall. Two cells sat across one another. containing little girls and boys clustered in a bunch inside I could spot the children sobbing and wailing in the background.
