The guards led us to a door and on entering the room many eldered men were seated at the table waiting patiently for us. The luna was seated at the head of the table.
"It was about time to grace us with your presence."
"I do humbly apologize for the delay," I said, respectfully.
She pursed her lips, tight-lipped on what to say.
"Take your seat, we can't wait forever," she said, in a huffy tone.
We took our seats at the rear end of the table opposite the luna. Lucien getting my chair out for me. I smiled gratefully taking my seat. He sat beside me. Her scornful gaze burned through my head.
This should go well.
"Where do you hail from, " she started hopefully.
"the crescent pack"

"I didn't have a pack. I was a rogue all my life." the elders murmured inconsistently.
" Then you don't know anything about ruling a kingdom. Isn't that right," she said strictly.
"I've told you times and times again. I do not plan on taking after you."
