"What happened?" Esme shakes her to her senses. It takes a while before she calms her sniffle down to a soft sob.
Julia said slowly, "I felt pain from the mate bond." her hands clutched Esme closer to her side as her eyes widened hysterically. "he was in pain, what if something terrible happened to him? The fact I don't know what's going on right now haunts me terribly," she said worriedly.
Esme could only pat her down slowly to ease a bit of her burden, it was barely doing much. It was what she could do right now. "What if I went to the front lines." Esme blurted out all of a sudden. Julia looked at her confused.
"Why do you want to go? The front line is dangerous you get killed even on the way" she said, distracted from her previous worries.
