"Do enjoy time " Lucien said walking away from a few of the guests present. He could feel it. It would soon be time for it to have absorbed enough energy. He retired to his room excusing himself politely from the expecting few that wanted to address with him his plans. They would have to wait a bit, this was more important.
He closed the door to his room quickly pulling out the jewel from its box the window was wide open. Going towards the window he opened the box to let it absorb the red glow from the room, a small prick on his thumb to let his blood drip onto the jewel. It sparkled glowing even brighter with a drop of his blood. He crushed the jewel after it had absorbed his blood, reciting softly in a whispering tone to himself.
What seemed to be a soft pink mist escaped from the jewel. It had a sweet scent. Feeling compelled towards it he followed the mist as it lead him out of his room.
