Chapter 187 - Caped Baldy?

Starting from the entrance that connects City C to City B. Three black sedans cruised along before abruptly coming to a halt. The road they were meant to follow had vanished, specifically because the destination they were heading towards had been reduced to ruins. The vehicles that were wrecked and burnt still appeared remarkably fresh, with iron boards and signs strewn about the road.

Fubuki stepped out of the sedan with a click, right in the middle. Her sunglasses concealed the range of emotions she was experiencing. At the same time, Lily emerged from the other door, holding the tablet against her chest.

Unlike Fubuki, Lily struggled to conceal her emotions, but she swiftly navigated her tablet to reach out to the remaining Blizzard Group members in City C.

"Lily, just wanted to check if you're still able to reach out to all the members we sent?" Fubuki's voice took on a chillier tone, a departure from her usual demeanor, while her eyebrows furrowed in concern. She appeared frustrated as she witnessed the chaos unfolding right in front of her, "What happened in City C? What could have been the cause of all this? Was it a terrifying monster or perhaps that mysterious spaceship?"

"U-Umm, I had trouble reaching some of the members we sent. So I am not quite sure about their current condition..." Lily was aware that delivering the bad news would likely provoke Fubuki's anger, so she quickly pressed on:

"Luckily, I could reach out to the support team members. Mizuki and another girl named Lin Lin were also with them."

"I'm relieved to hear that Mizuki is doing well... Can you refresh my memory of this, Lin Lin?" Is she the girl that Kaiser entrusted to us?" Fubuki turned to Lily, who suddenly grew nervous.

"Yep, you got it. He also mentioned the possibility of adding Lin Lin to the Blizzard Group."

"Hmph. He consistently does whatever he wants, as per his usual style... Lily tells Mizuki to assist the others in evacuating any remaining survivors. And speaking of the new girl, I'm looking forward to seeing what she brings to the table."

Lily remained silent as Fubuki grumbled. She wasted no time in reaching out to Mizuki to relay the information she had just received. From friends to colleagues, their relationship transformed as the Blizzard Group expanded, with Mizuki now joining their ranks.

However, Lily suspects that it is somehow related to Kaiser. He wanted to bring Mizuki closer and make things easier for him.

"Come on, let's not waste any time. We need to get going. Be prepared to fight at all times," Fubuki shouted. She had already walked a considerable distance ahead. The members of the Blizzard Group who came along also followed suit. They establish safe parameters for their boss.

Lily shook her head and quickly followed behind. Unbeknownst to her, her flushed cheeks still bore the remnants of an embarrassing thought that had unexpectedly crossed her mind.

Similar to other cities, City C is quite expansive. However, the central area, once a bustling hub, has unfortunately been decimated by recent spaceship attacks. Leaving only lucky residents living on the outskirts.

"Argkkk... what the hell was that! Why am I having such terrible luck today?

Fubuki, Lily, and the rest of the Blizzard Group members were on high alert, ready to strike at the sound of the unexpected voice. They were under the impression that a terrifying creature would emerge from the remnants, but their assumption proved wrong.

There was a vending machine near the ruins that had accidentally fallen on someone. A man with no hair, wearing a bright yellow outfit and a flowing white cape, attempted to crawl out. He effortlessly brushed off the obstacle with a mere nudge.

"Finally!... Huhh, what happened here? Everything is in ruins. Is it not because of me right?... Hey, is there anyone still around?"

Fubuki and her party were taken aback as they could only observe from the sidelines. The man appeared oblivious to their presence, but when their eyes met, he quickly approached and bombarded Fubuki with a barrage of questions, much to her annoyance.

"Don't worry, I'm a professional hero... tell me? What on earth happened? How did this city get obliterated out of nowhere? Saitama said, his confusion evident.

Shortly before, he only took a short break to grab a drink. He was no stranger to earthquakes, but this one was different. A sudden burst of purple light illuminated the scene as everything around him crumbled, including the vending machine just inches away.

"Don't be rude. Are you sure you are a professional hero? Hold on, let me double-check. What's your hero's name?" Lily effortlessly transitioned into her professional role as Fubuki's secretary, ensuring she was well-informed about anyone attempting to reach out to her boss.

It's just that, given the circumstances, it doesn't feel appropriate, so it's understandable that Saitama becomes angry. "What's the deal with you all and your neat clothes? Are you here to launch a new shopping center or something? What a joke… Wait a minute, I think I've seen you guys before, especially this woman with big boobs."

"Watch your words, you bald-headed fool! You have no idea who you're dealing with. Consider yourself fortunate to have crossed paths with Fubuki-sama."

"That's right, you damn baldy! Who do you think you are? I'll make sure you remember just how trash you are by giving you a good beating. You should just die under that vending machine!"

"How dare you talk to Fubuki-sama like that! I will cut your tongue and make you swallow it so that Fubuki-sama's name never comes out of your mouth again! You smooth-headed Fucker!"

Saitama forehead veins gradually became more prominent. He did not expect the sharp words aimed directly at him. The members of the Blizzard Group didn't hold back when he spoke rudely to their goddess. The intensity of their hatred and readiness to fight they showed was even the same as when they were about to face a monster.

"Oh, I remember now! You're the folks from that strange organization. And this woman, who happens to have big boobs, is your arrogant leader. Now that I have met you in person, I really don't like you," Saitama continues to refer to Fubuki as the woman with big boobs. In addition to being a fact, he intentionally aimed to further irritate them all.

"Lily, there's no need to be provoked. I sense a certain danger emanating from him, and our current objective is to avoid any unnecessary conflicts," Fubuki whispered cautiously. Lily's grip on her Three-section Staff relaxed as she carefully stowed away her weapon.

"Caped Baldy?... his real name is Saitama. A class B professional hero who holds the 52nd rank. He comes from City Z... it seems like he is one of those who rapidly climbed the ranks. There are numerous unsavory rumors surrounding him," Lily said in a low voice as if she only wanted Fubuki to hear.

Even though he didn't reveal his name, it wasn't difficult for Lily to find Saitama's data on the list of professional heroes. His appearance plays a significant role in enhancing all of that.

"Alright, Saitama, now that I understand you're a fellow professional hero, I won't question you any more. I can't say for certain what happened, but it's possible that the spaceship over there is responsible."

Saitama was surprised by Fubuki's response. He had expected her to be furious and hurl even harsher insults his way. Deciding to look in the direction she pointed, he followed along, taking his time to respond.

"What the fuck is that! When did that massive thing appear... hold on, did you just say it's a spaceship? Do you think we're being invaded by aliens?"

As Saitama appeared to struggle with accepting reality, Fubuki decided it was best to part ways and continue with her group toward the city center.

Saitama suddenly snapped back to reality as he caught a whiff of the unmistakable scent of blood and destruction in the air. He couldn't help but notice Fubuki's captivating silhouette. Before, he was still confused by the events that transpired, and he also had to endure hurtful remarks that continue to linger.

Now that his mind was clear, something else filled it.

"With her big boobs and her graceful figure, it's understandable why her followers view her as a goddess. However, her personality leaves much to be desired," Saitama casually remarked, reminiscent of the time he encountered Mosquito Girl. Strangely enough, this encounter sparked a sense of anticipation within him.
