Chapter 118 - I think I've seen you, bald man

Saitama, who had just arrived at the location, looked confused by the numerous corpses of monsters and humans scattered across the streets. Their blood had also flooded the streets, but fortunately, the rain that fell drained it all into the sewers.

Because of Saitama's acute vision, he could see a hooded man standing in the shade of the shop. Despite everything that was going on, the man appeared calm, and his eyes would occasionally glance upward.

"why is this swarm of mosquitoes still around? Hasn't Genos already annihilated them," Saitama exclaimed with furrowed brows as he looked up at the sky. There were lots of mosquito swarms flying around, but strangely, they didn't seem to care about Saitama's existence and flew straight to join the larger mosquito swarm in the middle.

"Are you a professional hero?"

Saitama had no idea that he had been standing so close to the hoodie man earlier, but upon hearing the man's question, Saitama responded right away:

"Yeah, I'm a Rank 97 Professional Hero Class C."

After the incident with the giant asteroid, where his rank rose quite significantly even though he didn't do much, Saitama became even more passionate about carrying out his job as a professional hero, as evidenced by the pride smile on his face when he introduced himself.

'damn, this guy is really handsome. Who is he? If he's a hero, I'm sure he has a lot of fans,' Saitama thought as he momentarily admired the charming face of the hooded man in front of him.

"Are you also a professional hero? What exactly happened in this place? Where did the remaining monsters go?"

Saitama started off by asking a lot of questions right away and judging by the hooded man's nonchalant expression, it seemed as though he didn't care about any of them. But occasionally, he would still look up at the sky before answering:

"If you are looking for the boss monster, he went to the shelter... and also, I'm not a professional hero."

*buzzing

Saitama gave a small nod, and before he asked about the unusual appearance of the mosquito swarm, he suddenly heard a woman's voice coming from above, and he had a distinct impression that he had heard it before.

"ahh, I'm refreshed now. Thank you, my darling..."

Mosquito Girl, who at this point appeared to have fully recovered with her entire body healed, licked her lips and hugged herself in an alluring and sensual pose. Nevertheless, her eyebrows immediately shot up in surprise when she saw the bald man standing beside Kaiser.

"Darling? What did that monster say? What happened here?"

It is evident from the expression on Saitama's face that he is bewildered. he looks back and forth between the man wearing the hoodie and the monster that has the body of a half-woman, half-mosquito.

"I don't know. I'm also very confused. Is there something wrong with this monster's brain?" Kaiser remarked while maintaining a penetrating glare on Mosquito Girl, but he had to be disappointed because the woman kept on blurting out:

"I think I've seen you, bald man, in city Z-" Even before she had finished her sentence, Mosquito Girl felt intense pressure, as if danger was very close to her.

Saitama was quiet for a moment as if he remembered something, and then he smiled slightly while clapping his hands and said, "It turns out I've seen this monster. She was with the cool Gundam robot monster."

When Kaiser heard this, he immediately broke out in a cold sweat, especially when Saitama mentioned his Gundam suit. Therefore, he quickly cut Saitama off and suggested:

"Bro, you better go to the shelter. They need your great Professional Hero like you in there."

"But who is going to take care of this mosquito monster?"

"Hey, Darling, what's wrong with you, and why have you been saying such mean things about me," Mosquito Girl yelled angrily, but Kaiser continued to ignore her and instead continued trying to convince Saitama by yelling:

"I don't accept this monster calling me Darling, so I'll take care of it. You don't need to worry. Even though I'm not a great professional hero like you, I exercise diligently."

When Kaiser was trying to persuade Saitama, since earlier, he didn't stop giving him compliments, and it seemed to have worked because the bald man could only smile shyly in response to all of them. Yet, he was still not convinced, and he responded by saying:

"But I can't let a citizen fight monsters on their own, no matter what, because if something bad happens to you, it will tarnish my credibility as a professional hero."

Kaiser looked impatient because he could see Mosquito Girl would say something stupid again, so he hastily pushed Saitama away from there while saying in a half-pleading tone:

"Please, kind-hearted Hero, let's just say that you're helping me make my debut as a great professional hero like you too. After all, you don't want to wipe out these whole mosquito hordes, do you?"

After giving it some thought, Saitama developed serious trauma from those bloodsucking insects, and when he saw a large number of them still milling about in the sky, Saitama finally took a deep breath and hurriedly left.

"Don't die, ok! After I have finished off the boss, I will return here to check on you and see how you are doing!

In the thick of the pouring rain, Saitama's figure had vanished into the distance as if it had been swallowed up when he ran. Yet, his screams could still be heard faintly in the background.

"Darling! I missed you so much... I was really scared earlier, I thought I would die, but you came to save me..."

Mosquito hurriedly flew over to Kaiser after seeing the bald man leave, and she intended to hug him. However, she was too excited to realize that Kaiser was upset with her.

*slap

Mosquito Girl's eye immediately spun around, and she was sent flying forward at breakneck speed before tumbling to the ground with a loud bang across the store. Confused Mosquito Girl could look at Kaiser, whose hand was already raised after he slapped her in irritation.
