Chapter 85 - Not again

'I will die if I move,' I thought anxiously as I could feel the hard and rough hands of the battle suit gripping my neck, and when I glanced to the side, I could see a white-haired man who was younger than me, and he was now looking at me coldly with his bewitching red eyes.

The wind swirling around the two of us was getting louder and stronger. This indicated that I still didn't want to give up and was even determined to die here if it was necessary to prevent this jerk Kaiser from doing anything strange to Lily.

But what Kaiser said after that caught me off guard because he casually brought up my highly sensitive secret and asked me, "Are you sure you want to die now? Don't you still want to prove something to your older sister?"

I thought to myself, 'this again, how would he know about something like this since no one should know,' but even so, my icy expression and firm determination did not vanish, so I responded in a calm tone by saying:

"It won't work this time."

Kaiser suddenly laughed, and while still holding onto my neck, he glanced down and remarked, "I know you just came back from the Hero Association headquarters."

Upon hearing that, my heart skipped a beat, but then I realized that Kaiser must have seen the rolled-up letter beside me, but after that, Kaiser continued:

"Also, I know that you are debating whether or not to accept the offer of a promotion to class A, right?"

My brows furrowed, and I nonchalantly said, "So, what? Does that change the fact that I'm going to exterminate you now?"

What I'm saying may come across as boastful and overconfident, but that's exactly how I feel right now. Even though this jerk has the opportunity to break my neck at any moment, I still am not going to give up.

But unexpectedly, Kaiser suddenly let go of his grip, and in a playful tone, he said, "You, who have been living in the shadow of your older sister, are afraid that if you go up to class A, you will realize how insignificant your efforts have been in front of your older sister's strength, right?"

Although I tried hard to ignore what Kaiser said, in the end, the wound in my heart that I had buried so deeply inside started to open again, and with a voice that was shaking, I refuted:

"You're wrong!... I was hesitant to advance to Class A... it was because Amai Mask's existence guarding the gate to class S... that's why I knew I would never reach the top..."

My voice gradually became weaker, and a feeling of melancholy coupled with pain began to fill my chest. I didn't even notice that my eyes had started to well up with tears, but in the midst of it all, I could see the battle suit covering Kaiser's hand suddenly vanish, and now his bare hands were slowly trying to caress my cheeks. However, my psychic power, which is still active, is giving cuts to his hands, and I can even clearly see the blood coming out of his slashed skin flying along with the wind that still surrounds us both.

When I saw that scene, for some reason, I gradually began to calm down, and soon after, my psychic powers, which had been thrashing furiously before, gradually began to disappear. After that, Kaiser said something softly with a smile on his face:

"You want to surpass your elder sister, right? Then let me help you. I will bring you to the top."

After everything he'd done to me, it was only natural that I wouldn't believe what he said, so I gave him a stern look and said, "hmph, what nonsense are you saying? Weren't you threatening me and wanting to do perverted things to me earlier?"

"You're older than me, but you're more easily provoked, huh," Kaiser said as he shook his head with a sigh.

"What did you say! I may be older, but I'm not a bad and perverted person like you," I then crossed my arms and gave Kaiser a smirk.

"Whatever you say, we can talk about this another time because, after the commotion you caused, those people must have come running over here already."

I'm not entirely sure what Kaiser was trying to say, but after that, he got up and started walking away, but I quickly said, "I warn you, don't get close to Lily! Even though I can't beat you, I will make sure to bring the entire Hero Association to hunt you down."

Kaiser stopped in his tracks and looked at me with a wry smile. He responded, "if you do that, I'll be in trouble, but don't worry, I wasn't really serious before. How could I do something like that to Lily."

After that, Kaiser continued walking towards the bushes, but before he really left, he added, "don't forget to accept the promotion offer, you can trust me... btw that kiss just got me addicted, let's do it again sometime, okay."

My temple twitched a few times at his final words, and before I could curse him, he was gone without my being able to feel his presence anymore.

Shortly after that, I heard a rumbling sound coming from the direction of the entrance. I could also faintly feel the ground vibrating at the same time. I was rendered speechless when a crowd of people flocked toward me. They look excited, enthusiastic, and curious all at the same time. I could even see members of my Blizzard group who were showing signs of panic blending in with the crowd.

*crowd-noise

*screams

"Not again."
