Chapter 41 - 100 tasks, huh

- My Pov -

My first impression of meeting Fubuki in person was very memorable. Even her demeanor and character were exactly the same as portrayed in the One Punch Man story.

However, it seems that Fubuki has the opposite impression of me, as it begins with her wariness of me, as she creates a small protection whenever she is near me.

"Who cares, about that," I muttered in a low voice as I picked up the trash that was lying next to my shoes and placed it in a trash can that was not too far away from where I was standing.

Following a brief period of rest for myself, Lily, and Fubuki, Fubuki instructed Lily to continue her work. In the meantime, Fubuki tried to make me keep my promise and compelled me to contribute to the Blizzard group's efforts.

I said to myself, "100 tasks, huh." I then looked around me where many members of the Blizzard group were currently seen helping the residents in this park while wearing flashy black business suits.

I see them assisting with trivial tasks, such as assisting senior citizens with their morning exercises, helping to watch the children playing on the playground in this park, picking up trash, and other similar activities.

"But I have to admit, in order to elevate their group name, the members of Fubuki's Blizzard group are indeed very hardworking and disciplined."

Even in the One Punch Man story, I can see the hard work this Blizzard group has gone through, but at that time, I didn't really look at them. However, now that I've reincarnated into this world and can see this group in person, I won't be stingy when it comes to giving them a little praise.

I chuckled while shaking my head and said, "hahahaha, what a fucking group," but shortly after that, I heard a woman's voice that sounded aggravated.

"What were you mumbling about since earlier, Kaiser! You still have 99 tasks left!" When I turned to look in the direction of the sound, I saw Fubuki sitting on a park bench not too far away from me with her legs crossed and appearing to be enjoying some downtime.

I responded with a smirk, "Who cares about these ridiculous tasks from you," but Fubuki just kept staring at me, and after that, she just grunted and didn't say anything else.

I could see Lily in the distance trying to retrieve a child's balloon that had become entangled in a tree. She even made an attempt to climb the tree, but it was too tall for her, so she was forced to remain at the bottom of the tree with a frustrated expression on her face.

After that, I walked towards Lily, and because I was already getting bored in this park, I planned to take Lily to the center of town. In addition to that, I wanted to increase her status points because I recalled that Lily's status points weren't even open in the system.

"With this, the problem is solved," I muttered with a small smile, and immediately I could hear the popping sound coming from the little boy's balloon, and Lily, who was surprised, could only pat the shoulder of the child who looked like he was about to cry.

"What's the matter, Lily?" When I asked Lily, she immediately looked at me and replied with a wry smile, "This child's balloon exploded suddenly, even though I tried to get it for him."

"How about we go get this kid a new balloon?" After I made the suggestion, Lily, who seemed to feel a little guilty at first, immediately nodded excitedly.

After that, Lily was successful in persuading the boy that we would go get him a new balloon, and after that, we both started walking. However, I became aware that someone was quietly following us.

'let's see how she reacts later,' I said in my heart excitedly.

-

After we left this park, neither of us could find a vendor selling balloons, which was unfortunate for Lily, but it was just what I needed because, from the beginning, I didn't care about the little boy or the task given by Fubuki.

Lily expressed her dissatisfaction by saying, "*sigh, we haven't found any balloon sellers since earlier. I feel bad for that little boy."

I snorted with laughter inside as I thought, 'fuck that little boy. Who cares about the fucking balloon.'

"come with me," I then immediately grabbed Lily's hand and asked her to run somewhere, and I also noticed that the one who was following us also immediately ran in a hurry behind us stealthily.

"Where are we going, Kaiser?" asked Lily in surprise, but even so, I could see her slightly blushing cheeks, but I just replied flatly, "you'll find out later."

"Do you know where we can find someone selling balloons, Kaiser?"

"Yeah, something like that."

-

The two of us then set out on a walk that took us further away from the park earlier, and we are now in the heart of city C, which is lively but relatively peaceful for the day.

While looking at me, Lily questioned me with a perplexed tone, "This guy doesn't look like he's selling balloons, does he, Kaiser?"

I took Lily to a food vendor in city C who was quite well-known, and because I realized that she must be very confused at the moment, I explained to her, "Besides balloons, I think giving that little boy some tasty food will make him happy as well, right?"

"Hmm... I guess you're right," Lily gave a satisfied nod, indicating that she was in full agreement, and I'm sure she definitely didn't want to spend her time looking for a balloon seller either.

"Then we can order four for Fubuki-sama as well," Lily remarked, with a broad smile spread across her face.
