Two days have passed since Tena killed Edgar taking his position as captain, and the atmosphere of the ship is uneasy. Tena has to gain the trust of her crew if she wants to have a safe voyage to the Indian Ocean. Tena thinks of a plan in the office to calm the tension of the crew, "let's see...." looking down at a map on the desk, she sees that they are close to the destination. leaving the stern to the main deck Tena calls the crew to the center of the main deck. "I have called you all here to inform you that we will be re-selecting the position of the crew. who was the ship's quartermaster I need to have a right-hand man for the time being." Tena asks the crew "he is dead he was the one you shot in the captain's office." one of the crew members says to Tena "...oh then let's go around and get names." going around Tena learns the names of the main crew members[60 members in total] Abol, Homer, Rufus, Thomas, Jared, Jasper these are the new Quartermaster, Master-at-arms, Master Boatswain, Sailing Master, Master Gunner, and the Doctor of the ship.
"Alright, now that we got that settled let's talk about our nearing destination, soon we will arrive at the Indian Ocean." The remaining weeks pass by, and It's July 8, the crimson pirates are near the cape of good hope. It's high noon, and the lookout spots something on the horizon. "Ahoy! there's a Schooner off in the distance!" he shouts from the crow's nest to the crew below. Heading down to the main deck, hearing the commission Tena walks onto the deck "What is it!?" she says grabbing the telescope from the lookout. looking through the telescope she sees the Schooner armed with multiple cannons along with people aboard. "They have about 10 cannons... AVAST! PREPARE FOR BATTLE!" "Aye aye!!" the crew responds.
Tena's large crew begins moving around getting into position and gathering their handguns and rifles, "Make sure the cannons are loaded and have the ammunition on standby." "Aye aye" moments later after some time Tena delivers a speech to the crew before they give chase. "Today we'll plunder that ship in the distance, we the crimson Pirates will have our fun today." dropping the sail they rush full speed towards the enemy Portuguese Schooner, "Jared, this battle will be your first test as the master gunner, don't let me down," Tena shouts to Jared while stirring the ship.
Moments later they raise their flag tailing the target Schooner, at the same time on the Portuguese ship members of the crew see the pirate ship in pursuit. "Captain!! SEA ROVER!!!" they yell getting the captain's attention. rushing out of his office the captain sees the black flag of the ship racing after them. "Everyone, get to your battle stations!" he shouts in a panic they let their main sail, but they are too late. Tena's ship closes the distance between them "Prepare for impact!!" coming up next to the Portuguese ship Tena fire the five cannons on the right side. Hitting the ship and halting its movement, wood planks shoot from the ship flying all over the place, "NOW!!!" throwing grappling hooks, Tena along with some of her crew jumps to the other ship into the Portuguese ship.
Landing on the enemy ship's deck, Tena slices through the enemy and fights her way to the helm, as members of her crew kill, and plunder the ship. the sounds of rifles and screams from the Portuguese crew. "WE ARE THE CRIMSON PIRATES AND THIS SHIP IS OURS!!!" Tena shouts in a menacing tone as she sees the captain of the ship standing on the stairs to the helm. "A woman!?" The Portuguese captain says surprised to see a female captain commanding pirates. Tena laughs drawing her cutlass "I am Capitan Amberwood!" as she steps up to the captain, they begin circling each other as the chaos goes on around them. the Portuguese captain lunges at Tena slashing at her waist, she deflects it as she does Tena thrusts stabbing through his hand. "Urgh!" at that moment Tena pulls out her flintlock aiming at the enemy captain, she shoots him in the chest.
"Protect the Captain!!" members of the Portuguese crew rush towards their captain. suddenly Tena is stabbed in her right shoulder. "Ahhh" she shouts turning around and slashing the person that wounded her. "Surrender or Die!!" Tena shouted missing looking her eye. nervous the Portuguese crew looks at their captain. drops their weapons kneeling on the ground. "Tie them up now!" Tena and her crew begin to transfer the goods from their ship to theirs, 30 minutes pass and the crew has moved everything valuable. Tied to the main sail Tena questions the captain before leaving them. "Are you, traders?" "Aye, we are Portuguese traders moving goods from Africa." knowing that there is a trade route from Africa Tena, plans to make use of it. Jumping back onto her ship the other ship is confused "Let us go!!" Tena lets out a sarcastic laugh "That won't happen...Fire!!!" cannons blow through the ships, and explosions go off lighting the main deck a blaze. The screams of the Portuguese ship echo as they sail away.
The crimson pirates, now with their morals high Tena has gained the trust of her crew. They now head east as they sail for Madagascar. over 2 weeks Tena and her crew arrive off the east coast of Madagascar to St. Marie, the new safe zone for pirates run by Adam Baldridge a prosperous pirate trader. "let's head in don't do anything rash," Tena tells her crew moments later they dock. Being the first female pirate Tena is looked at with piercing eyes as they walk along the beach. "Welcome to St. Mary...oh I see you're a woman." Adam Baldrige says as he sees Tena, "I am Captain Amberwood, me being a woman means nothing at sea I took control over this ship with my abilities." intrigued Captain Baldrige welcomes Tena and her crew into the settlement trading some of their plunder from the previous battle.
Resting and gathering recourses Tena goes to a bar, as she walks the others stare daggers at her. Being a female pirate is still looked at as something forbidden, suddenly rising a sit a drunken man stumbles up to her shouting. "DO You THINK That you can be a pirate as a woman...hahaha!" He says putting his hand on her waist, "you should just clean and take care of kids." Tena is disgusted she swiftly draws her pistol blowing a hole in his knee. The man Screams in agonizing pain, Tena grips his cheeks and then says dragging him closer to the bar. "Who is ye captain!?" Tena shouts with a menacing tone starting down at the drunken man. "Are ye the captain?" suddenly she lets out a crackling laugh leaving him and then sits down at the front. "Get me some rum." the drunken captain's crew drags him out of the bar to get treated.
A week passed and Tena and her crew load up their ship, walking to her ship she is stopped by Adam Baldrige. " Captain Amberwood thank you for resting at my settlement, and I to see toy again in the future." She smiles and then says "maybe but you should fix this place up, the manners of the residents here are bad. You should be careful." she tells Adam while getting on her ship. Over the next few years, Tena begins her pirate activities In the Indian ocean. Rumors spread of her landing her the nickname Firey Phoenix of the Crimson Pirates...Tena's Adventures and the golden age of piracy begins.
