Bingwen found himself at the Ning palace. The Ning palace was built on the top of a mountain, a tall mountain. He noticed that Baiyu was in his hand. He was confused. Suddenly, his body started to move on its own. He then saw that in front of him was the edge of the mountain. And at the edge was Jinghua. Bingwen's body forced him towards him. Jinghua then said, "You're really going to do this?" Bingwen wanted to ask 'Do what', but what came out instead was, "What choice do I have?" He said, uncontrollably. Jinghua clenched his fists. "So this is what it has come to, isn't it?" said Jinghua, "After everything? After what we've been through? After what we have done?" Bingwen was confused. His body moved towards Jinghua, his hand holding Baiyu began to rise. The sword was pointed at Jinghua's neck. "I'm sorry." Bingwen said, his sword then swung, but before it could hit Jinghua's neck, everything went dark.
Bingwen sat up in the bed he slept in. He was painting and covered in sweat. It was just a dream. But why is that? Why would he kill Jinghua? What was this foreshadowing for the future, Bingwen thought.
Bingwen got out of the bed and put his robes on, then his shoes, and left the room. Jinghua was in the main room, drinking tea, and a meal sat in front of him. "Goodmorning." Jinghua said. Bingwen replied with a bow. "Where's lady Chisheng?"
"Still asleep. She woke up last night and made her way to her bedroom. I…apologize for last night." Replied Jinghua, taking a sip of his tea. Suddenly, the inn door burst open. A woman wearing loose robes burst in. She had the same markings on her forehead as Nuwa Daiyu. Jinghua and Bingwen didn't know they would be meeting all three sisters of the Nuwa clan one step at a time. The woman was Nuwa Jia, the second born child. "I knew it! My sister couldn't keep her mouth shut for long!" Other women disciples followed behind her. Jinghua tried to draw his sword, as well as Bingwen, but the swords began to levitate over to Nuwa Jia. "These won't be needed!" She said with a grin.
"What do you want?" Demanded Jinghua, Nuwa Jia approached him, her hands moving up and down her own body in a sexual way. "You're asking what I want?" She giggled, "Oh, well, there's a lot of things I want. I could tell you if you'd like?" She put her hands on Jinghua's chest. Jinghua knew that if he touched her, his reputation could be ruined if rumors were to be spread. So all he could do was stay still.
Then, Chisheng Wei came out from the hallway into the main room. "Get your hands off of him!" She said, Nuwa Jia growled and pushed Jinghua away. "I didn't know that you were his. My apologies." Nuwa Jia said sarcastically. Chisheng Wei blushed and shook her head. "I am not! But it is inappropriate for an underaged woman such as you to be in that kind of physical contact with a man of a different region. I suggest you piss off!" Chisheng finished aggressively. Nuwa Jia scowled. "You bitch! You dare talk to me that way! I'll have your tongue cut off!" She shouted. Chisheng Wei snickered. If anyone was a bitch, she thought, it was Nuwa Jia. "Me? That slur? I would take a look in a mirror. You're the entitled one." Chisheng Wei said. Nuwa Jia was furious. So furious that she drew her sword and charged at Chisheng Wei. Chisheng Wei did the same and the two began fighting. After a while, another woman entered the little inn and yelled, "Enough!" It was Nuwa Jia's oldest sister, Luli. "That's enough, Jia. Your job was supposed to be to bring them to the palace, not fight them." Nuwa Jia stopped and stomped towards her sister. "Why the hell did you have to come!? I said I wanted to do this by myself, Jun!" Nuwa Jia complained. Her sister ignored her and looked at Jinghua, Bingwen, and Chisheng Wei. "Please come with me." She said, then returned Jinghua and Bingwen their swords. And the three did as she said. Nuwa Jia kept giving Chisheng Wei death stares. It wasn't a long walk but far enough from the inn the three had stayed in. the palace was at the edge of the fortress or the Nuwa borders in other words. Bingwen was stuck close to Jinghua. He was nervous. He didn't want to get hurt again but he also didn't want others to get hurt either.
They eventually entered the palace, the women disciples surrounded the three of them. Chisheng Wei didn't seem too bothered by the whole situation. She kept a straight face the whole way. Inside the palace was a long hallway, heavily guarded. And at the end of that hallway was a staircase. A staircase leading to a river. It was a bridge made of water. Below the bridge was an endless drop that led to complete darkness. "Please stay in the middle of the bridge, please." Nuwa Luli said, but her sister wanted to mess around instead of listening. She was walking in front of Bingwen but stopped to trip him. And it worked, he had almost slipped over the bridge. Luckily, Jinghua had caught him in time before he fell. Nuwa Jia chuckled, "Whoops, my bad!"
Bingwen clenched onto Jinghua's sleeve the rest of the way. "Are you alright?" asked Jinghua.
"Y-Yes..thank you, Ning Cheng." Stuttered Bingwen.
They had reached the end of the bridge which led into a room with two golden doors. Imprinted on them was an ume flower. The doors opened and on a decorated golden throne sat the empress of the clan, Nuwa Mani. She was beautiful even for her age. Her youngest daughter, Nuwa Daiyu, stood next to the throne. Nuwa Luli bowed to her mother, as did the disciples. "Mother Goddess. I brought you what you requested." She said,
