LIFE has been good. Jem is now a year old. She walks now. Naomi has resumed work. Greg is now engaged. Preparations for his wedding are ongoing.
"Aunt Cindy called today. She says she will be here a week before the wedding." Greg blurts.
"Aunt Cindy is a blessing, frankly. She has been the most supportive relative since our parents passed. It's almost like mum's relatives don't remember we exist." Gavin responds.
"Those ones are dead to me. That's why I insisted on a small wedding. Our relatives don't deserve an invite. A fifty-seater venue is all I booked." Greg enunciates.
"What's the plan for your…"
"Honeymoon, right?" Greg interrupts Gavin. "We are visiting Greece."
"Why Greece?"
"It's rumored that life started there, centuries back. I'm interested in seeing the leftovers of those centuries."
"Hmmm. My genius brother. Do you need help with any other thing? Especially finance?"
"My wife and I are rich. We've got this." Greg teases.
"Flex on us," Gavin giggles. "Naomi and I discussed. You know we moved here with you because we didn't want you to be lonely. Now that you are getting married, you won't be lonely anymore and you will also be needing privacy. We decided we will move back to our house and leave this family house for you and Bella. Summary is you won't meet us here when you return from your honeymoon. Is that okay with you?"
"Certainly. Both of you have been wonderful. I really appreciate. Now that we are starting our families and we live in the same city, I'd suggest we readopt The Dynasty's Day tradition. Our families come together every Sunday afternoon for picnic and we snap a family picture at the conclusion. The fixed location will be our garden here so the tradition is fully followed. What do you say?"
"I say splendid! I didn't even think in that direction. If your children don't inherit your brain, they will have me to respond to."
Gavin and Greg giggle.
