Hey..... I'm very lost here.. I don't know how my life has spiralled out of control. Everything was perfectly normal and perfectly monotonous....till them. I can't believe I've not written here for 5 months...my hands are literally shaking with the vivid memories of my past, though I'm pretty sure I'll soon join them.... its cold and damp and musty. The place reeks of alcohol and sweat...wait that's just me. I've been in here about three four days now and I've not seen any light asides from the dim blue bulb that's been silently humming as it attracts and kills another small family of insects. Looking at the puddle of burnt moths and flies, I almost feel sorry for them. I know how it's like feeling drawn to something out of the blue and watching.. helpless as you are burned and devoured.
Despite all my efforts I can't seem to find any way out. The one door stands far away swinging open occasionally when my captors come in with slob and a piece of bread....and to interrogate me. " Jessica you're only prolonging the inevitable," a rabbit masked man warned me as if he were talking to a kid as he sharpened a polished metal rod and set it in a small furnace.
Everyday and the same time, two men in masks come in and poke hot rods on my already blistered skin, always asking the same question. Where is it? Where is the cure? or Where are your friends? And every single time I answer them with one of my own.. What the hell are you talking about?
It's really sad how I got from crushing for five minutes on really cute boys at the cafe I worked at to being tortured by masked men who seek a cure for what I don't know. Heck I didn't even make it great in my Biology during high school, I barely know any medical stuff and yet here I am.
The men were done for today promising to change tactics the next day. They left me with a slice of stale bread and spoilt milk, not a full English breakfast but I'm definitely not going to complain.
I have tried and absolutely failed to perform the weird magic stuff I seemed totally capable of doing a few months back. Sorry I just casually dropped that magic is real and possible but I'm in no mood to be hysterical or shocked. I'm actually sick of it. It's not some supernatural beyond science stuff that we're so used to in our fantasies, it's just a bit above natural and very very draining.
Magic is just an innate harnessing of electromagnetic energy and non contact forces, if you wanna get geeky. Some people are just gifted or evolved so much so that they have bodily or mental access to wider variety of.. of.....everything. The amount of people who can do this is a very small fraction of the world and we all decided to keep it secret. We all know from the movies we watch that our species don't like anything different and most wish to either control it or eliminate it.
It never ceases to amaze me how close to home some concepts are.....like how we see celebrities as different.....almost ethereal creatures. Its a bit true, most celebs are.....magical..almost all prominent influential people can harness energy by themselves.
I guess it's time to do a geek dive and explain a bit, I mean it's only natural.....I am a typical nerd

Magic is energy. So it's only natural that all its types, classes....and limits are related to energy as well.
The first are Tecnophiles. Its exactly what it sounds likeđ They can mostly control technology but their ability is to harness and use Radio and Microwave energy however they see fit.
Then the....Order of lux...đ«. I'm embarrassed too but their faction leader is a golden oldie and he gets to name. Anyway, it's obvious they can manipulate visible light. Most celebrity entertainers and artists are here. It's this ability to bend light that makes them or their art look otherworldly sometimes. Shape-shifting, invisibility are some obvious superpowers that we know from here.
Luckily the names stop here. The next are those who can harness infrared or heat. Think human torch and killer frost.
Then we have the big guys. The real energy freaks, they can manipulate gamma, x-rays and ultraviolet light. its hard to distinguish between them but it's safe to say that they all have Hulk and Captain marvel potential. They also have an uncanny ability to emit their energy in other forms like infrared or visible light but they are somewhat limited by the fact that they cannot absorb these other types of energy. đ€weird.
Even unnatural things have weird variations. Amongst ourselves, there are those who don't manipulate what seems to be electromagnetic energy. We have gravity and users of the strong and weak nuclear force....They can be brutally deadly and catastrophic. They are also limited by mental rather than bodily constraints. They are painfully rare and the little we've come across before don't really seem to have a stable mind.
We don't talk about them.....
