Yul takes the tally and turns it in his hand. The jade is cold against his palm, its edges slightly rougher than its carved symbols. He should probably be feeling very happy with himself, which he isn't, not at all. Frowning slightly, conflicted with his own sense of foreboding, Yul looks into Seo's eyes.
"I thought you were not going to make it so easy," he probes. "With those archives being sacred or something…" Seo shrugs, his expression remains unchanged and blank. Yul's frown deepens. "And you said it is going to be two days a week or something…"
"Your highness did a good job with decoding, the shadows are grateful - I wouldn't dare to cheat you on your just rewards." He turns back to the letter that he was writing.
