The copper glow of the moon rising in the sky filtered into the room. Andrew thought he wouldn't be able to stand to stay away from her scent even for a minute. Cat let go of his hand and walked over to the fireplace in the corner. Andrew ran a hand through his messy hair. Andrew could see nothing but the young girl gliding over to the fireplace in the moonlight. The girl had not bothered to light a lamp or a candle.
Cat waited in the corner, her pale hands clasped together, nervously tense with overexcitement. In the shadows of night, imagining that she would be sharing her bed with Andrew made her very nervous and excited. Now she was alone with Andrew, who looked like the princes in the stories she had read as a child. Her dreams from childhood always had a sweet declaration of love scene. A faint, anxious groan escaped Cat's mouth. She must have been out of his mind, she thought, to devise such a scheme for Andrew. This was certain.
"Come here, little one," Andrew said softly. Cat's shoulders slumped. "I'm so excited," she muttered. As she was walking towards Andrew, she turned right to avoid tripping over the wing chair. "Your horse has a beautiful name," she said. She rubbed his throbbing temples with her fingers. An old Vanity Table made of rosewood appeared in front of her in the moonlight. Flicking the inside of a darkened drawer, he pulled out what she was looking for. Meanwhile, she took out a flint and lit a candle. Andrew took two strides towards the bed and sat down on the bed. "Mary, come with me," he said. His deep silky voice rose in the shadows. Now, in the dim light of the room, Andrew stood like the prince of darkness. Standing back, Andrew's eyes flashed flames in Andrew's eyes, warning Cat, even more than fire, that was playing with something moru dangerous.Andrew thought the girl looked like a charming savage, with the candlelight reflected in her hair. She looked no less wild now, even in her green dress. The girl's long black hair did not look fashionable at the time. It fell over her shoulders. "I want to drink some wine, would you like to?" Said. "Oh yes, some mulled wine will do," Andrew said. As Cat poured her wine glasses, she wished she had never done so. For a moment, Cat's heart tightened. Cat came over to him and handed him the glass. Cat involuntarily took a step back from him. Andrew took a sip from his glass and stood up and touched Cat's face. "You don't have to be afraid of me," he said. He moved a little closer to the girl. The young girl had an aggrieved expression on her face, as if she had injured him. "Have I ever hurt you?" Or did I do something to make you think I might hurt you?" "No, never," Cat whispered. Cat took a step back. Her shoulders rested on the mantelpiece, a porcelain vase swayed. Andrew reached out and stabilized the vase, effectively thwarting her potential escape attempts.Andrew put his hand on her cheek and cupped her cheek. The young girl's throbbing fingertips were long forgotten as her thumb gently swept over her soft skin. Far from being startled by his touch, Cat found herself trying to lose herself and dissolve into it. "Am I the kind of overbearing, brutish man who will do anything to a woman he doesn't want?" Andrew's hoarse voice was enchanting. Cat crouched under his arm, seeking refuge on the moonlit cove of the window-bench.
"Um.. Shall we have some more wine?" The girl slipped out of his arm and took the glass from the old rosewood table. He held out Andrew's as well. Cat turned around as Andrew took a few more sips. "I'm not afraid of you, I'm just wondering how long you've slept between us," he said. "There won't be anything inappropriate between us, considering we're still dressed," Andrew said. Andrew's head was spinning. Cat turned towards him. "You're right, maybe we should talk a bit," he said. Cat snatched the glass from Andrew's hand as he staggered slightly. "My lord, are you okay?" He took Andrew's arm. "What did you give me?" she said, dragging Andrew onto Cat bed. Andrew was seeing everything blurry. Cat wanted to get away from her, but Andrew grabbed her by the collar of her dress. Cat struggled to free herself. Andrew pulled her towards him with the last of his strength. Now they were eye to eye. "What have you done to me," said Andrew Cat, pupils dilated. Just when he thought he wouldn't be able to save himself, Andrew's fingers on the hand holding him slowly loosened, and Andrew collapsed facedown on the bed.
Cat almost stood up. She had to hurry. She headed to the wardrobe and pushed the clothes aside. The Safe was exactly where Lori had told her. She searched the drawers. The key to the safe was missing. When she searched Andrew's body, she found the key to his desk. She sprinted into the study room, still trying to be quiet. The key to the safe and everything else was there. Cat opened the safe in the study room and took the contents. She went upstairs and took all the money from the safe in the wardrobe. Returning to her room, taking what she needed, she walked away unseen from the mansion in the midnight moonlight.
