Basileus thought it was best to get to business immediately. He didn't know if the meeting would be fruitful. He hadnt been kind to Ebari in the past but that went both ways. Ebari had known him since he was a teenager. In his opinion he had grown up a lot. He hoped the general who had more experience agreed.
"I've asked you here since many of my soldiers have been sent to the ends of the empire in search of evidence that there's an insurrection," Basileus explained. "After the conversation with Armis, I understand your reasoning for being cautious."
Ebari's slightly arched eyebrows raised.
"It was more to give Varya peace of mind rather than my own curiosity," Ebari admitted. "I'd like to find out where the conversation was being sent so I know what to prepare for."
