Varya woke up with a start, confused and in a dark room. It took her a few moments to recognize her surroundings and feel the soft blanket covering her body.
Her hands ran over the white fabric, and a small smile appeared on her face. She doubted a servant would put a blanket over her without permission - it must have been Ebari, she thought.
She hardly remembered falling asleep, nor could she tell how long she had been out. All she knew was how invigorated she felt after having a good rest. In the back of her mind, she still felt bad for taking over his bed.
Her eyes traveled around the empty room, and she went to the bathroom behind a closed door in the corner. As soon as the bright white lights were on, she had to squint as her eyes adjusted to them.
Looking in the mirror, she ran her hands through her hair so it wouldn't look like she had only just woken up.
Deciding it was best to find Ebari, she left the bathroom and walked out of his room.
