Chereads / My Dominant Demon System [放开] / Chapter 10 - Lesson (2)

Chapter 10 - Lesson (2)

"Harry!" Sam called out as he stared at the ball of flames on Harry's palm. No one could explain the expression on Sam's face as he kept staring at the ball of flames. "My 20XP is gone!" He suddenly said out loud causing the students to stare at him in confusion.

"Is he mad already or something?" A student asked and no one had the exact answer to his question, they were all confused.

"Hey, what the hell is wrong with you? I just saved your ass and you can't show some appreciation!" Harry said. He was upset at

Sam's sudden behaviour.

"Thank you but I didn't beg to be saved! I need that thing on my chest, two of it on my chest or my reward will be gone," Sam replied pointing to the ball of flames.

"Are you okay?" Harry asked in confusion. He was here to eat some breakfast when he saw the ball of flames dashing towards Sam, out of instinct he rushed and caught it before it slammed on his chest. What he didn't understand was why he is acting the way he is doing right now, he was supposed to be happy that someone helped him but..... "What XP are you even talking about?"

'Damn! I almost leaked my secret' Sam thought inwardly. "That was a mistake but you see, I was challenged by someone that if I can take two blows from this ball of flame, I will be rewarded. Just let me do it, besides you have no business here, go meet your friends."

Sam was right in what he said, if Kelvin should meet Harry here and learn about what is going on, he would want to cause trouble and the sufferer would certainly be him — Sam.

"I get what you are trying to say but don't worry he would do no such thing. I'll let him know that I did save you on my own accord and nothing else," Harry replied.

Meanwhile, the dark-skinned boy stood in his previous position and had been glaring at Sam and Harry for a long time. He was angry with Harry for stopping his attack and at the same time angry with Sam for having someone to help him. He felt insulted but knew he could not fight Harry because his level is at 1.5 while his level is only at 1.3. Nevertheless, he wasn't going to back down no matter what.

"Hey Harry, you know you've got no business here, step aside and let me teach that little brat some lessons," The boy yelled to Harry. Harry upon hearing what the boy said, turned and shot him a glare. He was about to say something when Sam hushed him.

"You have no business here, he is right. It's between the both of us so allow me to take the blows or I'll feel insulted by everyone around," Sam said and Harry sighed and dispelled the ball of flames in his palm.

"Alright, I give up but when I see the situation is getting out of hand, don't you try to stop me," Harry said to Sam and moved away from him. He found a spot among the rest of the students and stood, his attention fully on Sam.

"You'll have nowhere to escape to this time around," the dark-skinned boy said with a grin on his face, he felt so eager to punish Sam. He clasped his palms together and formed the ball of flames, this time it was two and he held one in each of his palms. "Feel my wrath!" the boy yelled and threw the two balls of flames at the same time.

"Holy Shi.....t!" Sam yelled in horror as the two balls of flames were rushing towards him. He haven't even prepared and they were almost nearing him. "Fuck me!"

*Boom*

*Boom*

"Argh!!!!"

*Bang*

"Is he still alive?"

"Let's go check!"

All the students rushed to where Sam had fallen, covered in debris.

"I bet he is dead, Tsk!" The dark-skinned boy scoffed and made to leave in satisfaction.

"What! He is alive and. . . Not harmed!" Someone yelled, abruptly causing the dark-skinned boy to halt.

"How can that be?" The dark-skinned boy asked in shock and rushed to where Sam had fallen. "How are you not harmed?" he asked, still in shock. Sam was surprisingly on his feet, dusting his clothes.

"My favourite jacket!" Sam mumbled as he removed the jacket to examine it.

"You are okay? How did you do it?" Harry rushed over as well and asked, he too was in shock.

"It's my luck, the heavens are in my favour today," Sam replied and walked out of the debris. He turned to the dark-skinned boy and smirked, "Thank you for teaching me a lesson today, in the nearest future, it'll be my turn and I hope you'll learn a lesson from it."

Sam didn't wait to be replied to, he walked among the students while they quietly made paths for him and stormed out of the hall.

Meanwhile, in the shadows were two figures of men staring at the students. They had been there since the fight began.

"My Lord, what do you say? Isn't it time to give him the ability?" One of the figures said to the one at his right hand.

"No, not yet but soon. Keep an eye on him and let me know when he is ready." The other figure said and disappeared immediately, not giving the other one a chance to reply.

"How am I to know when he is ready?" The remaining figure said in frustration as he disappeared as well.

How was I able to withstand those blows just fine?" Sam asked himself with a smile on his face.

He had rushed out of the cafeteria, not because of anything but because he was extremely happy and surprised at the same time. He got into his room and closed the door behind him then walked to the mirror and removed his shirt.

"There are no injuries at all, this is freaking awesome! I guess it's because of the system, haha!" Sam began to laugh out loud as he danced around his room.
