"Incidentally, among the people who caught me was Evania's fiancé and another was her loyal guard. When I said I went there to inform them someone from their kind was in the human realm, they questioned me more since they had been looking for Evania's soul which had been missing for a while. It was then that I learned she was Evania, the only princess of the shadows," Alwin revealed.
"I see," Arabella slowly nodded her head. "No wonder you said it could cause a war between Umbra and Estrella."
Alwin explained that Evania was among the long-lived races they called Shadows. Once they mature, shadows can live without the need for a physical body.
A physical body becomes their weakness so there were those who gave up their body after some time and lived completely in their shadow form.
