Somehow, Aion managed to react on time. Even with his best magic, he couldn't kill the cloaked figure. Nor did he have time to choose a spell. He reacted instinctively by changing his class to Guardian and then using Devotion and Force release.
The enemy's knife had pierced Seris' neck, but only a few millimeters and her artery weren't pierced, but Aion's was. He protected her, but even with his high defense and the help of Force release, he felt his artery being cut. Once again, the battlefield froze since no one ever saw that kind of ability before. Aion put his hand on the wound to stop the blood and heal it, but then he felt the wound burning… as expected of an assassin, the knife was poisoned.
