It isn't going to be easy to bargain with the captain, let alone reach him to bargain with him in the first place.
I tried to communicate with him using my mark, but I had severed my connections with the people here earlier when I tried to reach further.
I had only but one choice; to break free from these chains and see what I could do after that. It wasn't the greatest plan, but my empty stomach wasn't helping with my thinking.
Now that I think about it, that was a terrible plan! I can't go into this blind, I'd rather die being dragged by the horses than die by my own foolishness. I need help, and I think I know the person just for that.

"You're as stupid as I remember Adam"
I cocked my head at that. As she remembers? This was the first time we've met and she speaks as if we've been friends for decades. I ignored her statement however, it wasn't my best interest right now.
She pressed her palms harder on my chest.
I was feeling better now, it seems her mark has done its work, but she continued to keep her hands on my chest. Perhaps an excuse so we could converse longer, if that was the case, then she alteast had interest in helping me, I just needed to choose the right words.
She opened her eyes and a nasty glare came from it.
"What makes you think I would help you?! I could just abandon you as you abandoned your people!"
The crashing waves blurred out most of our conversation and those I was shackled with were atleast 5 meters away from me, which made room for some private conversation.
I grinned
"Its not that you would help me. You would help yourself" i said
"By helping you" she retorted
"That's not such a bad price is it?"
She removed her hands from my chest with the energy of a little child having a tantrum.
"You're right, it isn't a bad price." She paused "It's a bollocks one"
That "bollocks" part made me smile, maybe laugh inside.
"I will not trust my life with you" she paused and eyed me up and down "With a slave"
That statement however, did not make me smile.
She stood, turned her back, her fists curled into balls and began to leave
"So you don't trust yourself?" I quickly added
She slowed her pace to a halt
I sat in place and eyed her back, eagerly awaiting her answer.
After what seemed to be an eternity, she looked back at me. Her eyes still eyeing me with distain.
"This is your chance at freedom, served on a silver platter" I said
No words escaped her mouth, only a stare. Still nothing. She turned her back to me and took her leave on the rope ladder that only dropped when she would come visit us here.
Whether she agreed or not, it was all up to fate now.
