Chapter 14 - Sister

Khalan rode through the forest for an hour before she finally came to a halt. She was still bleeding from the pierce earlier and felt really weak and unwell as she was losing so much blood. She didn't know if she should be thankful and happy that Lucifer let her go or if she should be sad that she left him all alone in the hut. She really did not understand what she was feeling now, but she was sure she did well by leaving the hut.

Now, she could do what ever she wanted with no one to guide her or tell her what to do and what not to do like Nathan. Leaving the hut was a perfect idea and she was not going to aim at regretting it by missing Nathan.

She looked passed the shade of the trees to the sky and saw that the sun was already high up. 'It is midday already!" She grunted. She was not sure why but she had this anger burning in her maybe it was because she was hungry. She really needed to eat something, else she won't live another day. But the question was where would she find something to eat? She looked around her and all she could see were thick bushes, tall trees and small animals. Some were on the trees while some crawl on the forest floor and luckily for her, none of them neared her like they were scared of her somehow. Atleast that meant she was safe from their threat on the bright side but on the dark side, she was never going to catch them as game if they were scared of her plus, she did not have enough strength in her to chase them around because she was still bleeding.

No! That was not an option. She needed to get to town, where she could find people that would help her both in treating the wound and giving her food and shelter. She stood from where she sat by a tree and got on her horse again, barely sitting on it as she was too weak to so she rested her head on it, hold it round the neck as it moved by its own will and instincts. She didn't even care to direct it's way but only hoped it would lead her to the town or aleast where she could find people...

"She is my sister" a young beautiful woman said to an average man behind the counter who should be in his early fifties.

"We where lost in the woods and l left to get help but before l could find help, she was already gone. I spent the whole night searching for her but felt so relieved once l was told she was here".

The registrar mr Derin looked at the young woman sternly. She had this aura and unspeakable sense of humor. He wanted to believe her but he didn't know what was stopping him. She had already proven beyond all reasonable doubts that the lifeless girl one of the hunters found yesterday's sun down in the thick forest was her sister, even given him their names 'Sherlin and Emma' which he could not even tell if it was true. He had already asked her to describe the girl and she did perfectly but only missed that she had a wound on her left arm nor what the wound looked like. Besides that, she could not tell what she was wearing so that could be used to say that she was lying.

"I am so sorry miss Sherlin but l can't handover the girl to you till she awakes and proves you to be her family" Derlin said to her in a cold voice. "Now if you would please excuse me, l have other things to attend to. Do well to leave and return later when she must have opened her eyes".

Right now, Elisha felt like tearing the registrar apart. Why would he not let her see her Sheba. She was very delighted when she found out that she had separated from Lucifer and saw it as an opportunity to have her way with her now. She planned on taking her with her to her palace beneath Gared from her, where they could spend their eternity together. But that would not be possible if this sturbbon registrar holds on to his appalling behavior.

She had given it a thought to use her inducing voice on him but she decided to act nice and plat normal but now she was changing her mind because she did not have the kind heart to stand and watch him order her out politely when she knew she could turn things around easily.

"Give her to me now or you will regret ever being a registrar in this inn" she said sweetly to him but the effect of her voice on his mind was very far from sweet.

He felt like he had a hard thud and his head spinned causing him so much pain. The only thing he understood was her words that echoed in his head. 'Give her to me'.

He steadied a bit and called out to the inn caretaker. "Nelly Dean!"

In a jiffy a plumpy middle aged woman came out from the inn room with a slight smile on her face "yes Mr Derlin" she answered.

"Lead the young woman to ward 022 the girl from the forest yesterday is her sister"...
