"Min DaeHa" President Min calls in a low deep voice
DaeHa sat up straight as if in the millitary.
"Yes Sir!!" He 'squeaks' loudly.
"Come kneel down here and hands up"
Ram was startled as DaeHa obediently walks infront of his parents and did as instructed. He looks around and except for the Min parents staring at their third child with light scowls the four Min brothers gave him(Ram) cold and unpleasant looks.
"President Min.." he stood up
The elder raised his emotionless eyes in response.
Ram goes down on his knees. His assistant also kneels behind him.
"Please can you spare him and punish me instead? Please sir" Ram pleads. Eyes filled with worry and heartbreak seeing his boyfriend being punished.
Surprise flash in the Min family's eyes for a moment. The Min brothers scoffed. The couple were silent. DaeHa's head was bowed and eyes tightly shut behind his big glasses.
"Please sir!!"
"Why don't you both do it together then?" Mrs. Min says, a small smile tugging her lips
"It is my fault. I am the one to blame. I started it all" U-Ram calmly says "I was supposed to come meet with President and Mrs. Min before we started dating. But i put other responsibilities before him. I'm sorry" he bows in apology
" 'A king bows to no one except the gods and the Imperial family' " President Min calmly states.
"For my Queen, I will bow to his parents. You are his gods on earth and I hope you can be mine too" he humbly bows deeper his right hand crossing his chest.
"DaeHa-ah"
"Yes Papa"
"You still remember I am your Papa" President Min gives his third child a squint.
DaeHa nods his small head like a little rattle.
"I'm sorry Papa" DaeHa says in a small voice
The elderly Sen tched in 'anger'. But the beautiful woman sitting beside him hides her snickers. She can feel the tensed air leave her husband's body. Although President Min denies it, every member of the family knows how much he dotes on DaeHa. To be fair Snowbird is the most peaceful baby in the family. So it was least expected that he would be the first one to leave their family nest.
'My baby' she sighs
"Go take a sit"
"Thank you Papa"
Min DaeChan the fifth and last born of the family hurried to his third brother's side to help him up. He leads DaeHa back to his seat and sat beside him, never letting go of their clasped hand.
Ram felt relief. He doesn't mind any punishment from the elders because he knows he deserves it. But his Petal doesn't deserve it.
"You can take your seat U-Ram-ssi" President Min sighs.
The Crown Prince was stunned. Did this mean he has been accepted? He felt a bit uncertain.
"Do you like kneeling that much U-Ram-ssi?" Mrs. Min felt amused. Although this young man is a little pervert, he is quite silly.
She knows her husband and sons won't be able to stand Snowbird's sadness should they give the young Sen a hard time. Especially now that he is pregnant. Although their hearts are reluctant to accept this sudden news(it happened too fast) but they have to accept it anyway. And just be the best supporters for their Snowbird.
"No. Thank you Aunty. Thank you Sir" U-Ram shamelessly says with a bright smile. He took his seat and his assistant went back to his seat away from the family.
"So what is the next step?" President Min asks. It really was taking a lot of his energy not to outright kick the young crown prince out.
He has never really cared about royal etiquettes or sided with any of them. Politics was never his thing anyways. But he knows should he try to harm U-Ram, he will lose his precious baby forever. And it's not like everything can be undone.
It just irks him his little Snowbird is being 'stolen' by this big shamelss fox!!
"He is my mate and will be my future queen" U-Ram says confidently
"Let's see if you'll be king first" Hyunjae who has been quiet all along grits with a 'smile'. The first Min Youngmaster felt his muscles heating up as he trys to suppress his rage.
U-Ram stiffened. But he suppresses his Sen instincts. This is not a challenge for the throne. But for his future 'queen'.
They talked for a while and finally agreed to have them engaged publicly but married privately. A wedding date will be picked when DaeHa is on his school break. After this was said there were dissatisfied grumbling from the Min brothers.
DaeHa flinched.
"Hyungies you're scaring Birdie hyungie" Chan sighs gently patting his older brother's back.
The three Min brothers immediately put away their dissatisfaction.
"Sorry Snowbird"
"Sorry hyung"
The three apologised.
"It's fine" DaeHa shyly responds. He has began feeling more sensitive to other people's emotions as the day goes by. And he knows his brothers are trying their best not to hurt his feelings. He knows how much his parents and brothers are restraining themselves for his sake and it makes him a little uncomfortable but very happy at the same time.
He can't imagine any of his Ven brothers in his situation and not get mad. His Sen brothers dare not be irresponsible. Their Mama will 'finish' them as their Papa watch with a popcorn bucket on the side.
So he really appreciate his family but also felt distress for them.
A date was set for when the family would meet. Although as a royal crown prince, his future partner's family is supposed to be invited to the palace and a proposal is made by the king on behalf of his son. But U-Ram insisted on bringing his family out of the palace to the capital to meet his future princes' family instead.
That eased a knott in the Min family hearts. They know their Snowbird has a mate that will love him more than his(Ram) pride and position.
After all was discussed, DaeHa asks to stay home with his family (much to their satisfaction). U-Ram unilaterally agrees. He even planned on asking if the little Ven would like to stay home for a while as he(Ram) goes back to start preparing for things. And looking at his friends' face, he knows the Min brothers still have a 'dealing' with him.
DaeChan(lastborn) happily led his third brother away to shower and rest a bit. U-Ram sighs
'I miss him already'
Hyunjae challenges him to a 'chat' in the gym later after their parents also left the family hall.
"I know as a royal you've been trained in combat since young" Jae welcomes him into the fighting ring. They both were changed from their dinner attire into sports shorts(the kickboxing ones).
"Yes"
"Good. Standard combat. Last man standing. Let's start?" Jae grins and the young crown prince felt a chill in his spine. His brain already started calculating the next outcome.
"Don't hold back Crown Prince U-Ram. Or else you really won't survive" Woo grins from the sidelines.
He knows that he will loose... that's for sure. But how to last long before his body can't get up again is what he is most worried about.
"Don't worry I'm here to make sure he doesn't kill you" DaeJung says with a lazy wave.
At least he has to surpass an hour. Any less and his father the king will 'disown' him.
'Can't win but can't loose badly to' he sighs 'I'm soo pitiful. Petal your Ram misses you already!!' He wails in his heart
The match lasted for almost two hours before Ram felt entirely drained. He doesn't remember the last time he was this drained and bruised. No part of his face was hit but he is sure half of his bones have been dismantled and reassembled by the barely injured HyunJae. He may even have a few broken bones which are yet to be 'reassembled'.
"1hr 42mins 55 seconds" DaeJung reads the timer.
"He is still worse than Woo-ah" Jae tsked walking off the fighting ground to take the towel Hyunwoo passed to him.
"Of course. Uri Woo is the best little Sen" DaeJung scoffs backing his fourth brother. "He takes after me the most!!" He grins proudly. "But honestly I'm impressed"
Afterwards they helped the prince up and called in the doctor and nurses already on standby and left the prince to be attended to.
"Welcome to the family U-Rammie hyung" DaeJung smiles with a peace sign. Woo just gives a silent nod and follows his brothers out.
After two days of healing he goes back home to the palace and talks to his parents. His parents give him a stern lecture on his careless behaviour but still support his proposal and makes a call to the Business Min familyhead to set up a date for the family meeting. They really are willing to come to the capital for the marriage proposal.
DaeHa was homeschooled in order to prevent the paparazzi from constantly harassing the pregnant male. Some of his closet friends were always there to keep him company along with his brothers.
Despite the teasing and 'wailing' of some of his clan members( MoneyGhouls), he had a relaxed and stress-free period during the time preparing for the engagement and wedding.
Although Ram knew he 'snatched the craddle' as his younger brother, U-Jin ruthlessly describes, he still felt excited and thrilled at the thought of marrying the cute Ven. U-Jin also played a role in easing the tense relationship between him and the Min brothers. U-jin somehow ended up being Hyunjae and DaeJung's favorite pup in a matter of days of his arrival back to the Empire. U-Ram still can't comprehend how that happened but he is all the same grateful.
His Petal wouldn't need to be sad and worried over having his brothers disliking his mate. Now they can look forward to their future together with ease.
