GMy fingers trembled as Azriel's name was announced. It was his turn now. The other men who lost left with injuries on their bodies. I wondered if he could stand them.
"Are you enjoying yourself?" Father asked for the seventh time. I nodded with a brief smile. This was the form of his entertainment. He enjoyed it and expected me to.
"The Youngest lord is going now," my aunt said all of a sudden. She sat next to my father on the left side.
"You know him?" Father was surprised that she did.
"Yes, he is a nice man" she complimented giving me a wink. I knew what she was doing. Aunt Annabel was preparing a smooth path for Azriel. If he wins today then, he would find favor in the eyes of my father.
"We don't know yet" Queen Ivy interrupted. She was going to spill the beans if my aunt insists.
"Stop arguing all of you," Father said at last. "He is good-looking but too curious. Curiosity is not good for men of his age. It led most of them to death."
