It's been a long time since I came up here to the high land to carry out the mission that the elder mermaids assigned me. This is the mission that I cannot escape because escaping from it is also like abandoning our race.
I admit that at first I really struggled to keep up with life here on high ground. Each environment equals a different world. But still I didn't give up and I studied all the things that people do including their everyday routine.
For example, working to earn money. Buying food at the market and talking to people around me, including using the right gestures while having a conversation with them.
Here on the high ground, simple gestures are important because it is a silent language used to show your emotions. A smile gives a person positive energy. And the frowning face carries sadness. There are also gestures that show anger, annoyance and lack of appetite.
