That was the day my peaceful everyday life ended once and for all.
"Wait up!" Noah Said in disarray while running towards the elevator.
But it closed.
"There was bareley anyone in that elevator, the could've waited for me", he said before panting a few exhausted breaths.
"Director Park will kill me if I am late.", he thought to himself before he decided to take the stairs to the set. When he got up the stairs, he saw Brandon and heard the Director screaming.
"Hey, Team leader Jo! DO you come to work to disgrace me, Huh!? ANSWER ME!"
"Brandon Ngo, don't you plan on going in?" Noah said weakly.
"AAh!" Brandon said startled, "Well, Director Sho has been chewing out the team leader right off the bat, so..."
"Trust me, where there is a will, there is a way, follow me." Noah Said still weakly.
Then the entered the set. "Creeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaak" The door sounded as everyone but the director looked at the two.
"You Idiot! You're supposed to be a leader, and this is all you can manage? My God!" The Director shouted at team leader Logan.
"Brandon, make sure you stay near me.", Noah whispered. "Ok." Brandon whispered in reply.
"I want this re-written before i call the investors in an hour!" The Director scolded Logan.
"Yes sir" Logan replied numbly.
"Hey Seb, why is the director so tense today?" Noah Asked Sebastian.
"The Investors Pulled out, so he's letting of some steam." Seb Replied.
"Hey, Assistant Leader Noah!" Director yelled to Noah. "Ye- Yes?" Noah replied with a scared voice.
"You're part of the filming Department, but you still have the nerve to show up right on the dot! Don't you feel bad for the others who are waiting for your directions!?" The director Yelled.
"Yes Director" Noah reluctantly said. "Hey, did we do augmented reality for our movies?" A woman asked
"Woah, that's cool for such a big business to have augmented reality." Another man said. "Hey, you know our team didn't make that, right?" A man from the augmented reality said.
"Hey guys, it follows you around!" Another person said. Everyone was in awe of what they saw, a screen with a digital earth on it saying, "The Universe has said my life is going to end. The planetary closure procedure will begin in 50 days, please follow directions closely."
"Planetary closure procedure? Isn't that the end of the world?" Noah thought to himself, fearing the screen and the instructions that it would display.
The message continued by saying, "This has been decided regardless of my wishes. I don't know about all of you... but I want to live longer.", The message read.
"Noah, are you seeing this?" Brandon said worryingly. "Yeah, I see it alright, but let's sit down first." "Ok" Brandon replied before sitting in his chair.
"I get that this is a dangerous situation, but I'm not scared. Maybe it's a side effect of making so many horror films? Or maybe this is all a dream? Is this really happening right now?" Noah is thinking as he looks out of the window and sees cars crashing into each other violently.
["BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP!!!"] The screen screeches as everyone is deafened by the noise. "Ahh!" some of them say as they are hearing the ear-splitting sound. They all thought it was a prank, but boy were they DEAD WRONG.
"______" Noah and others tried to say as their voices were muted by the screen.
Then, a new screen popped up with a question, ["If you had to choose to fight two medium sized dogs or a human to death using your bear hands, what would you choose to fight?"]
"A question window? Why is it showing me this?" He thought. "I know how big a small sized dog is, but not a medium sized dog." Noah said as the screen showed an example as a Rottweiler. "Hmm... That's strangely helpful? If it's a dog that size than..." Noah thinks to himself as he imagines running from two rottweilers before they kill him. "Does fighting to the death mean street fighting, like we did in school? or would I be fighting an MMA fighter or something?" He thought as the timer went down, fearing dying to dogs. "Dammit, I'm out of time!.... Two medium sized dogs!" Noah decides as he clicks that option.
The screen then showed another question, ["If you had to cut off 2 pounds of your body, Where would you cut?"] "Another question? What kind of questions are these?" Noah said.
He then answered the following questions: ["3.DO you think Voting is an adequate way to determine the fate of humanity? 4.If there was a sudden flood in your area, would you know how to evacuate? 5.Please evaluate the area you live in along with its residents. 6.If the world was reset, how many humans would you like to start a life with? 7.Something dangerous will happen soon. in 15 seconds, pick four people you would like as your companions. 8.If you were destined to die within 24 hours, what would you do with your remaining time?"] "Is this what it feels like to de on-death row?" Noah thought right as the screen gave a new message.
["We will now begin the sensitivity test. Please think about what you can feel."] The screen said.
"A sensitivity test? On what?" Noah thought as the test started. "What the hell! My toes are freezing! I'm losing the feeling in my legs! Seriously! What are they trying to do? Damn it! T-That's enough! Help me! PLEASE! PLEEASE!" Noah cried out in agony as an orb broke, and he went back to normal. "Is it over? What the hell was that just now!? I-Is everyone okay?!" Noah said as he saw his coworkers in shock. Noah grabbed a pen for defense, then he decided to try and help Brandon by shaking him, and it worked. "Noah, *gasp* did you see that?", Brandon said. "I think it is over for now, try and relax.", Noah told Brandon. "Okay." Brandon replied.
The screen than showed another message, saying ["Following the results of the survey, a certain amount of essence was deposited. This is currently the best ARMOR and WEAPON at your disposal. If you die, your essence will drop. This can be picked up by your companions immediately, so make sure you don't lose focus till the end. Your death will be remembered and utilized. You must work hard to protect your essence from beings not of this planet. If you are not confident in your fighting skills, try to die near your companions. Essence can be trained and become stronger the more you collect. If you want to resolve this situation completely, find a SAVIOR and help them. Good luck to you."] The guide said.
"Beings not of this planet...? What did it mean by FIND A SAVIOR?" Noah thought to himself.
"What the hell! *smash* Who in the hell pulled this prank!? Hey Logan! You son of a B*tch! Go find out who's responsible right... ...Now?" The director yelled at Logan before Logan looked menacingly at the director. *STEP* "P-Predator...?" the director thought as Logan walked closer with a sign reading
*TA-DA* The screen showed to Noah. "The evaluation of the human, Noah Arroyo, is complete. You have been assigned the role of Taming SAVIOR. The role is Mythic, only 5 saviors have this rare of a guide. If your ability is deemed insufficient or inadequate, your role may change or disappear.", The guide showed to Noah. "I'm a SAVIOR? And roles can change? So, is it survival of the fittest or something?" Noah thought. Logan then looked at Noah. and Noah thought again. "Did he... Realize that I am a savior?"
