Chapter 9 - Pursuit of Rose

Without wasting a moment, Ferat led the way as they embarked on their quest to find Rose. The corridors of Arca High were adorned with grandeur, their ancient walls steeped in history. As they walked, Naomi couldn't help but marvel at the opulence of the academy, even in moments of uncertainty. The academy was a treasure trove of grandeur and history, and every step she took revealed a new layer of its majestic beauty.

The walls were adorned with ancient tapestries depicting scenes of supernatural lore, their rich colors and intricate designs capturing moments of a bygone era. Glistening chandeliers hung from the ornate ceilings, casting a warm and inviting glow on the polished marble floors.

Carved wooden doors, each a work of art in itself, led to rooms filled with knowledge and secrets waiting to be discovered. The architecture was a blend of Gothic and Victorian styles, creating an atmosphere of timeless elegance.

Sunlight streamed through stained glass windows, painting vibrant patterns of colors on the floor. Portraits of formidable vampires from the past lined the corridors, their eyes seeming to follow Naomi as she passed by.

She paused for a moment to run her fingers along the smooth, intricately carved banister of a grand staircase. The attention to detail was staggering, and she couldn't help but feel a sense of awe and reverence for the academy that had become her new home.

Arca High was more than just a place of learning; it was a sanctuary of history, magic, and tradition. Naomi was just beginning to scratch the surface of its mysteries, and the opulence of the academy was a constant reminder of the rich tapestry of her new life.

Ferat's footsteps echoed in the hallway as they made their way to Amber House, the anticipation building with each passing moment. Naomi's heart raced, and she clenched her hands into fists, the fear for Rose's safety gnawing at her.

Amber House, with its intricate architecture and amber-tinted windows, loomed before them. Ferat approached the door to Julian's room, his expression a mix of determination and apprehension.

With a cautious knock, Ferat called out, "Julian, it's Ferat. We need to talk."

The door creaked open, revealing Julian, a vampire with ebony hair and sharp features. His eyes flickered with surprise at the unexpected visitors.

shrinking his sleepy eyelids he asked "What do you want?" Julian asked, his voice tinged with suspicion.

Ferat stepped forward, his words precise. "We're looking for Rose. She was seen here last night."

Julian's eyes darted between them, his thoughts hidden behind a mask of composure. Naomi could sense the tension in the room, her heart pounding in her chest.

A moment of silence hung in the air before Julian finally spoke. "I haven't seen her since last night. She left before dawn."

The relief that washed over Naomi was palpable. But there was still an undercurrent of unease, a feeling that there was more to Rose's visit to Julian's room than met the eye.

As they left Amber House, Naomi couldn't help but wonder about the mysteries surrounding Rose's disappearance. Her emotions were a whirlwind of relief, concern, and an unshakable determination to uncover the truth.

..............................................

The corridors of Arca High seemed endless as Naomi, Shyla, Leane, and Ferat continued their search for Rose. Their footsteps echoed softly in the dimly lit passageways, their voices hushed as they called out her name in vain.

"Where could she be?" Leane whispered, her voice quivering with worry. "We've checked almost everywhere."

Naomi's brow furrowed, her heart heavy with concern for her missing friend. "It's like she's vanished into thin air."

Shyla, ever perceptive, noticed the distress etched on Naomi's face. She placed a gentle hand on Naomi's shoulder and asked, her voice full of concern, "Naomi, is there something you're not telling us?"

Naomi hesitated for a moment, then decided to confide in her friends. Her eyes, once filled with worry, now held a mixture of fear and guilt. "Last night, I had an encounter with a vampire named Victor. He warned me about something dangerous, but I couldn't fully understand. What if Rose encountered the same person and got hurt?"

Shyla Gasped.. "Andd you're telling this now....."

Naomi answered to her with a whispered voice "I might be wrong, that might be a dream too.." furrowing her eyebrows she said " ....I don't remember much because at morning I was lying in the room"

The news clouded up on the girls mind, with fear . Ferat , on other listened to this quietly.

The weight of her words hung in the air as they continued their search. Their anxiety grew with each passing minute, and Naomi's fear was mirrored in the expressions of her friends.

As they turned a corner, their footsteps came to a sudden halt. A collective gasp escaped their lips as they stumbled upon a distressing sight. Rose was lying on the ground, her once vibrant red hair now matted and disheveled, her skin pale as death.

Dried blood stained her neck, a grim testament to the violence she had endured. She lay unconscious, her breaths shallow and weak.

Leane couldn't contain her shock and fear. She let out a piercing scream that reverberated through the corridor, echoing their collective terror. Despite being vampires, the sight of a colleague in distress struck fear into their hearts.

Rushing to Rose's side, they knelt beside her, their hands trembling as they checked her pulse. She was alive, but her condition was dire.

"We need to get her to the infirmary," Ferat said, his voice filled with urgency.

They acted quickly, lifting Rose gently and carrying her as they raced down the hallways of Arca High. The academy, once a place of mystery and enchantment, had now become a setting for a dark and sinister mystery that threatened the safety of its students.

As they approached the infirmary, their hearts raced with uncertainty. The enigmatic Victor and the danger he had warned Naomi about had suddenly become all too real, and they were left to grapple with the terrifying question of what had befallen Rose in the shadows of the academy.
