Chapter 44 - Dilema

From morning to noon Varis did not see Rave.  Usually, Rave was sleeping on the roof of the academy building or under the big banyan tree beside the academy.

"What's wrong, Varis?" asked Tidus, following Varis's steps. He observed a large banyan tree far up in the hills. "Anything strange about that tree?"

Varis shook his head.  "Nothing."

"That tree is older than the academy. It's said that bayan trees can move when flooded. It also has the magic power of an elf."

Varis and Tidus watched Miya closely while smiling happily. Their smiles made Miya examine her own body. 

"Is there something strange about me?"

"Nothing strange," said Cai, withholding laughter with the other girls.

"Nice to see you back to normal, Miya," said Tidus, followed by his and Varis's smiles.

Miya baited a smile at Varis, a mysterious smile, and only two of them knew the meaning of that smile.
