Chapter 13 - Rivalry

Filipe's beautiful eye peeked out from his eyebrows, following every step the three girls took upstairs.

The rivalry between the Knighthood and Academia was ingrained. Several times they clashed over ancestral technology.

The academia, Alderan, La Mars, or whatever you want to call them, they are all two-faced. They kill each other for technology, and always say that the technology they get will be sorted out and given to humans for human development. In fact, they use the technology themselves. Yes, of course, some are shared with humans for the sake of beautifying their masks or for gold coins.

Meanwhile, the Knighthood, a union of state knights in Europe. They don't need to wear the mask of virtue like those damn academics. The Knighthood's goal is noble, to take military technology, to protect Europe from danger and uphold peace in Europe. Civil technology, they shared with the community, while dangerous technology, they kept for safety. If you think about it, they are like fathers who look after their children.

"My friend bartender. This is my quest paper, do I need to attach it to the quest wall?" Filipe kindly handed a piece of paper to Itiar.

After going through the hunter bureaucracy and having his quest determined as a grade A quest and given enough exp, the paper became a bone of contention for the hunters. In less than half an hour, Filipe and four other Lizard Riders left Orzon.

Not everyone is capable of riding a Komodo. If the Komodo doesn't like the person, then the person ends up becoming its food. For this reason, the Lizard Riders slowed down their komodos, accompanying several horses ridden by guides.

"Lieutenant, what exactly are we looking for in Switzerland? Hasn't that place been explored several times?" asked Lizard Rider.

"Explorers in Brandenburg found an ancient map indicating some special bunker locations. One of them is in Switzerland."

"Is Lieutenant sure that something special will be found there?"

"The three Alderaanians are proof, my friend. Academics are like vultures. Where there is a carcass, they flock to it."

The more he thought about it, the more Filipe's soul was unsettled. He knew Roselin, an SS grade Alchemist. If she was sent by Alderan, it meant that the rumors about the black stone were true. He had to get the stone before those damned academies.

"Axel, Pique, I have special orders for you." Filipe approached the ear of one of the Lizard Rider. "Block the girl's way. Don't let them get to Switzerland by any means. Understood?"
